I turned 8 that summer. Don't let anyone tell you tv wasn't awesome in the 90's & early 2000's. It wasn't just "muh childhood nostalgia", entertainment was more colorful, fun, innocent & optimistic. Not just on the kids channels but on the other networks as well, right down to the commercials. Now it's all generic & cynical there's no optimism for the future & tv sucks on broadcast & streaming. How I miss the old days...
The wonder ball from wonka was awesome I got the SpongeBob wonder ball what sucks is that parents wanted nestle to remove them because their 2 year olds was choking on the little candies inside so nestle did take them off the shelves in markets then years went by Frankfort renewed them but they didn’t taste the same parents should’ve explained to their 2 year olds why they took the hard candies away from them instead of ruining wonder ball for every 90s and 2000s kids
1:55 yeah right they don’t say that anymore as of idk when cuz majority of these cereals have buttloads of sugar but it’s now whole grain which is cool

I was in 8th grade going into 9th grade high school. The memories.
Wait, so Ren and Stimpy returned to Nick on the same day SpongeBob hosted his first Nicktoon Summer Splash? Cool!
They used the "Ren & Stimpy" reruns as a lead-in from "SpongeBob's Nicktoon Summer Splash" to the "Daily U-Pick".

28:28 my favorite commercial
Woah i remember these
From the SUMMER of 2000 *has the Charlie Brown Halloween special playing*
Those 2000 "Kids Pick the President" promos ALWAYS had more votes for George W. Bush, and one was always "undecided."
13:01 The real world gets more animated.
Who remembers Angela Via?
13:02 so they can have a tv spot for rocky and bullwinkle in a 2000 commercial but not for Dudley do right in a 1999 commercial
That vince carter commercial made me think you could sweat whatever color Gatorade you drank lol
I actually enjoyed the summer of 2000. I was 10 years old during that time. Man, these commercials really bring back a lot of memories.
Those bottles of soap a jumping into the water.
Interesting Nickelodeon commercials.
23:39 as well as the world premiere of "Pelswick"
