This is a good example of why so many first generation Eritrean-Americans turned out well and garnered careers in Europe and America. As a child of these guys having been born in neighboring Sudan in 1984 and emigrating to America in 1985. In my house, when I looked to my elders past I was watching these like this and learning from my parents about what happened in my blood line before me. The poor black kids of America did not have that liberty. I see how different the mentality of black Eritrean child in America was that of a black child of American background. I’m Eritrean by blood, but I’ve grown up now and America is what my life has been. What my children’s life will be. I’ve become a American geography teacher to try and teach the children here about black history in Africa (like my people here) that has nothing to do with the black Africa taught to us in school growing up. If you grew up in America and are Eritrean, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. If you didn’t, please recognize my Eritrean brothers and sisters. It literally was like advertising to entice people to leave. Like any people from all over the world who want to migrate to the west, Eritreans took the bait. The end result was not only Eritreans, the entire East African, west Africans, North Africans and some Arabs started to identify themselves as Eritrean in order to get refugees status specially in Europe. So the majority of Eritrean refugees are not actually from Eritrea. Recently the fake Eritrean refugees from Tigray, Ethiopia who were encouraged and given fake Eritrean I’d and who were helped by UNHCR to immigrate to the west, and have been living in the west started committing terrorism against real Eritrean festivals and cultural events all over the world with the blessing of the the host countries security apparatus. They all turned a blind eye and the police were handling them very gently. Since then information came out that they were being used by America and their TPLF terrorists group to terrorize Eritrean people in the diaspora so they can put pressure on the Eritrean government for regime change. This is a good example of why so many first generation Eritrean-Americans turned out well and garnered careers in Europe and America.
As a child of these guys having been born in neighboring Sudan in 1984 and emigrating to America in 1985. In my house, when I looked to my elders past I was watching these like this and learning from my parents about what happened in my blood line before me.
The poor black kids of America did not have that liberty. I see how different the mentality of black Eritrean child in America was that of a black child of American background.
I’m Eritrean by blood, but I’ve grown up now and America is what my life has been. What my children’s life will be. I’ve become a American geography teacher to try and teach the children here about black history in Africa (like my people here) that has nothing to do with the black Africa taught to us in school growing up.
If you grew up in America and are Eritrean, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. If you didn’t, please recognize my Eritrean brothers and sisters. Those of us who left are doing our best to honor and always keep what our people fought for and what Eritrean culture and identity are. 🇺🇸🇪🇷👍🏾

When Haileselassie unilaterally annexed Eritrea with out the will of the people and against UN and international law, the world said nothing because America was behind it. So the main enemies of Eritrea for the last 80 years are America and Britain because they want to control the Eritrean Red Sea which is very strategic specially the Bab El Mandeb on southern Eritrea. The refugee crisis was an artificially created to empty the country of its youth so no one is left to fight or defend Eritrea. After independence in 2009 after slapping Eritrea with sanctions, Barak Obama announced that he will welcome Eritrean refugees and work with various organizations to get Eritreans out of their “oppressors”. At the same time the US pressured the EU to take Eritrean refugees with no question asked. Not only that, the UN set up camps in neighboring countries to encourage young people to leave Eritrea. It literally was like advertising to entice people to leave. Like any people from all over the world who want to migrate to the west, Eritreans took the bait. The end result was not only Eritreans, the entire East African, west Africans, North Africans and some Arabs started to identify themselves as Eritrean in order to get refugees status specially in Europe. So the majority of Eritrean refugees are not actually from Eritrea. Recently the fake Eritrean refugees from Tigray, Ethiopia who were encouraged and given fake Eritrean I’d and who were helped by UNHCR to immigrate to the west, and have been living in the west started committing terrorism against real Eritrean festivals and cultural events all over the world with the blessing of the the host countries security apparatus. They all turned a blind eye and the police were handling them very gently. Since then information came out that they were being used by America and their TPLF terrorists group to terrorize Eritrean people in the diaspora so they can put pressure on the Eritrean government for regime change. That also failed because Eritrean people don’t take pressure kindly so they started defending their events and started using the law to get the terrorists out of business. Eritrea is very peaceful country although the west tried to destroy it by sanctions and proxy war but the people are loyal to their homeland. After independence all Eritrean refugees are economic refugees thanks to the US foreign policy.

One has to remember that during this conflict across the country the only two rebel groups the rebel to hold any power was the EPLF Which enjoyed hundreds of millions of dollars of support from Syria, Iraq,and Egypt.
