- After closing the game on a 13-0 run, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets, 113-102. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 34 PTS (24 in the 2nd half), and 9 REB, while Klay Thompson added 18 PTS in the victory. Nikola Jokic tallied 23 PTS, 12 REB and 9 AST for the Nuggets in the losing effort. The Warriors improve to 45-22 on the season, while the Nuggets fall to 40-27.

It's because of that little props that made Steph having 0 FMVPs. Remember when people gave too much credit to Iggy when "clamping" Lebron (Eventhough Lebron still dropping 30+ in his head)? He got the FMVP and it was mindboggling how people ignored Steph's leadership because of someone playing better than expected 💀

Steph Curry is the master at drawing the defense away from an open shooter based on how the defense is set to one side of the court. Steph knows 2 players will follow him, which cripples any defensive set once you flanc out a whole side.
Curry is a god at drawing the defense, and Poole a sniper, imagine if Klay gets his rhythm back before playoffs and Draymond gets back fully healthy, it'd be scary for the league 💪

Great Warriors defense-- look at those active hands getting deflections. Warriors rebounding by committee; outrebounded handily for the game, but everyone worked hard for the boards in the last 3 minutes. Great decisions by Curry. Poole with the confidence and concentration to hit 2 big 3s. His form looked perfect on both of them.
This sequence really showes how "alone" jokic is in this team
Alone by turning it over twice, fumbling it out of bounds, jacking up terrible shots, not being able to play D? This just shows what a real mvp looks like vs a guy who won it because five players who are better than him were injured for big portions of the season.

You do know Wiggins and Klay are their top closer defender in perimeter right? Wiggins just had a bad night offensively, but still hustling on D. Ex: that steal on last 2 mins
@@cherryranario1005 I'm not saying Wiggins is a bad option, I'm just saying that he probably won't dive for a loose ball or do anything out of the ordinary to win a possession. Moody has also proved to be a fantastic wing defender.
moody might give the extra hustle needed to win playoff games but he doesn't have quiet the upside that wigg brings on both ends of the floor
Moody is not as athletic and skillful as Wiggins. Wigs still plays D even he's sucking on offense

Curry played so good in the last several minutes. He drove and scored like 6 points, unstoppable even when facing tough defence. He then sucked the defence to himself and resulted in two wide open threes for Jordan Poole

Too much attention on Steph gave Poole an opportunity to ice the game right there. A lot of appreciation for Kevon Looney on locking Jokic up all night, great win for the Dubs!
It seems the basketball gods give them so much. Then always take it away for a season or two, and that setback always sets them up better for future. When have you seen a team with such a perfect blend of youth experience stars role players future stars. If Steph Klay don't go down, at times they did they could never have kept this team.
