i had the chance to meet dame in his poppington gallery this summer. not only did he accomodate us well, he gave us a good hour of his time where we conversed about dipset to new york, how it was growing up in london,uk and what universtiy life is like over there, how rocafella impacted the culture. he even helped us meet cam'ron later that night ( my favourite rapper of all time). big props to dame. he inspired me to get a degree and hustle in the accounting world.

dame dash is always one hunnit! he carries himself with respect, he cares about the respect of the culture, he speaks with intelligence, he made it cool to be smart and own your own, he made it cool to wear a suit.......the true inspiration behind work hard play hard!
Look at the movie Casino, Deniro is the ''boss'' of the Casino but his mob bosses get upset when he's quoted saying ''i am the boss'' as Deniro didn't put up any money to get the casino. I agree with Dame mostly, sometimes in the past his delivery has been off which has made people ignore his content.
Dame's insight is excellent. Feeling the Ayn Rand vibe in his explaining the 50/50 ventures etc. This and some comments briefly demonstrate why few will be the boss and many will be the employee. Damon "Dame" Dash is one of the few who breaks down the game so simple, that you can see why he has achieved great levels of success. It's not about the loss of money or how much you have. It's about understanding the sweet science of making it. What's a drought when you can make water ? This is what someone who respects, understands, and elevates the hip hop culture from beats to business looks like. The getback ...watch...
"great levels of success" ? maybe when he was still with Jay z . I would say Dames failures are proof that the ayn rand vibe doesn't work in the real world

I have mad respect for this cat...I agree to disagree on the issue of who puts the money up...because the one who puts it up could merely be an investor, not a boss. And if the boss actually puts up the money, if he does not have an ear to hear (advice) he is a fool. But its; certainly his prerogative to do what he wants. but bottom line is, make sure that even if the P&L doesn't come out as you want it, you still have the RESPONSIBILITY to PAY THE HELP ON PAYDAY! Without Dame there is no JayZ. Fuck all the nonsense. Dame knows it, but is too classy to tell it at this stage of life. I see you Dame.

@ KLKMedia! Dash's lawyer dropped him for failing to pay bills, his SUV was seized after he failed to pay the $700 monthly bill, the bank foreclosed on two of his condos after he failed to pay his mortage, he owes $2 million in taxes to the state of New York, he's being sued for failing to pay rent on two Manhattan offices, and he's fighting off suits from a design company and security company whom both say Dash never paid them for their work. I highly doubt his "25%" share of that shitty label has cleared him from all if the aforementioned. That nigga is a bad businessman. Period!
Everybody has a boss. A boss is an employees boss and the is the consumer is the boss boss. So it all comes down to what you you'd rather be. Id rather be the boss or the consumer because they have the most control over an employee.
