Tbh WCAR always surprise me with each album in that I always seem to still like them! Their sound always seems to evolve parallel to my taste of music. I started liking them back when I was a little scene kid who loved synthy post-metalcore bands, and now that my taste in music has matured a bit, they've gone to a more raw, almost hardcore sound which I love.
WCAR's theme as a band has always been change and growth. So people complaining that they've changed is extremely ironic seeing as everyone should expect it from them out of all bands haha
To move on is to grow :)

This song is great and they were amazing live. Before they sung this song they made a little speech about how we should be looking out for each other instead of tearing each other down and how we need to stop being so selfish. It was pretty great to be honest.

God I fucking love this band. I met them at warped tour this year, and let me just say they're some of the nicest band guys I've ever met.
I find myself preferring the heavier songs in the album, but i love and enjoy it as a whole.

Ever since I saw that WCAR is coming to Flagstaff, where I live, this is all I've been listening to. I'm not going to school at all. It's downtown where they are playing so I will be there all day. I'm being on front all day
Love the sound, love dave's vocals, and i'm glad they're are at least 2 songs on this album that are heavy! I gotta say I like the softer side WCAR has taken, it lets us know that dave can do more than just scream. Sure people are going to be disappointed that every song isn't like To plant a seed. But change is good!

So I've listened to both mew songs so far and got to say I've gotten a good message from it altogether. And the message i got was that
'I like putting my poor mistakes from the past behind me and all about moving forward. And basically telling the world of they have a problem with it to f off no room to judge me.'

I don't care what they do with their sound. I'm just mad that every band that gets big from playing a genre that isn't that popular among people, they ALWAYS slow down everything, make the sound more generic and appealing to a less intelligent group of people as well as kids who can be easily satisfied. This is catchy, but I hope one day I can have band that I like become huge with their own sound and continue to impress and trend set; not follow majority.
***** People bitch about them changing their sound "bands change over time, get over it this is great blah blah" and they don't realize the change people are referring to is the change from something good, slightly different to something cliche that has been done a million times over and it isn't original. This whole album is bad. Listen to "who will pray?" or "memories" or "savior of the week"..and tell me that is WCAR and is original. I was embarrassed listening to it. It honestly sounds like they put an album out trying to get radio play, and if that gets them on, GREAT! Good for them but I know they are no longer a band I'll enjoy. I'll still listen to earlier music from them, but this album just isn't good and they have entered full pop category with their writing.

If a band is liked for their unique sound, they should pursue it; not use it to get somewhat famous and then decide to open up to the 10 year old kids and the more easily entertained people who make up a large portion of the world so that they can be compared to artists that have best selling albums. If every band that gets big decides to be mainstream, then I guess my only option is to listen to music that is very unpopular. I enjoy different sounds and stuff that isn't always based on catchiness.
