Yes, that's Ren playing piano at the beginning! He also composed the music for piano and strings! He directed the video and produced the music/audio. It was recorded live but it's not quite 1 take. They had to make a single edit just before the water, for obvious reasons. Another incredible performance from Ren! It's an absolute masterpiece! :)

Everyone is a cog just a piece in the money game. When Ren "woke up" and took the bag off his head, he became the narrator. We need to open our eyes, take the bags off our heads and stop the machine. Don't be greedy. Work for what you need and work WITH others to better the world.

I interpreted the choice between the briefcases to mean that the human desire for knowledge is even greater than the baser instinct toward greed. Either way it was an epic way to end the money game!

Ren said it is just one cut but I believe there is also a second cut when Ren takes his money bag off in the beginning.
