Unfortunately I purchased the Maxim 2020 in COVID, so I did go for the 5.56 version cause 300 BLK ammo was non existent. Only update Ive done since I submitted, was I decided to jump on the Suppressor Wagon and got a Hux Flow 556k. Hopefully that makes up for the 5.56 points reduction lol. Thanks for the comments and opinions on it, I’ll take everything in consideration and I’ll give an update with my next build submission. (I do recommend a video on Maxim, they really did a great job on this firearm).
Going back to the AR-10 SBR, I have an AR-10, and I have an SBR, but I personally would not combine them. That being said, my dad, who was with the Teams in Vietnam, started carrying an M-14 specifically because his squad was in a fire fight with some VC, he had a 5.56 at the time, and was not “always effective” (as he would put it). After that, he switched to the bigger caliber for the rest of his time in country. He passed away last year, but if we’re still alive, he would agree with Jason and would be a proponent for an AR-10 SBR.
Thanks for the feature guys!! Got some decent scores on my rifles, if Kaya thought the paint on my long rifle was interesting, he should see my Mock 18 now 😂
If you’ve worked with a rifle, you know a sling is an essential. I don’t think it’s more important than a light but any complete rifle build has to have a sling.
This is amateur hour. Clint is desperately needed. We all miss you Clint. Hope you are alright. Semper Fi. Long time subscriber. All good things come to an end. Clint basically built this channel, and now he is gone, at least it seems that way. God bless you Clint. Always Faithful, Always Forward. Aaron Beaulieu
Kaya’s still the most in shape and practical shooter on the board what good is your opinion on cqb if you’re tired before you get up the stairs *cough*
Was thinking earlier, when is the next episode out, and not an hour later i come across one. Just the banter between you guys is just as hilarious, as the comentary about the builds.
31:32 SCS systems kills springs fast with suppressed 5.56 (500-1000 rounds), I imagine .308 is sub 600 rounds. The set screws and backplate strip out easily too... not the threads as much as the hex on top of the flathead capscrew.
Im only at the 308 pistol that everyone's arguing about. As for the folder, i haven't had ANY issues with my law tactical folder but i wore out 2 sylvan arms folders and if i had pressure pushing a certain way against the stock or brace, it stayed locked but opened just enough to cause an angle that the bcg and buffer system would get caught on. Definitely more of a range toy part compared to the law folder
There ain't no way in hades that I'm going to enjoy a SBR in .308...especially over a suppressed 300blk or even unsuppressed 5.56...not a chance in CQB.
The UBR stock is actually a really popular pick with service rifle competition shooters, because the weight helps balance guns with heavier barrels. The gen 2 version is actually less popular with the same competitors because it weighs less. My guess is, with light, bipod, warcomp, and the heavy barrel, that gen 2 UBR on the long range gun at 19 minutes is about as light of a stock as you would want. Lighter, and it seems like it would be extremely front-heavy.
AR-10 Pistol or SBR and a LAW Folder would be a great truck gun in rural areas where the 308 performance would come in handy and you need the compactness of the shorter weapon.
The reason for the polymer frame on the Defender is weight. I had one and loved the capability it brought, but admit it is an odd duck. Without the polymer frame it would have been too much to carry concealed…and I did carry it concealed with .45 LC when the situation dictated. It shot well thanks to the great sights. Day to day a 5, but if the capability was needed, a 9.
Kai: Why 308 Shorty EVER!? US Army: Say hello to the SPEAR! Now in 6.8x51 and 7.62x51. I'll take a .308 12.5" AR made by Geissele with an A5 Super 42 and a really good flow-through can.
Dude next to Kaya (sorry I forgot your name) you weren’t making a whole lotta sense this time around. .308 SBR for CQB? Law folder helping cycling? I don’t have much experience in either so there’s my disclaimer of ignorance but idk about it
You’s guys, are killing me, I haven’t laughed so hard in years. Thanks, as much as I would love to move, somebody has to stay and fight for the 2A, if everyone moves you get Washington or Colorado. (Heck it’s already Illinois). Don’t like it but that’s the way it is!
For the record I have numerous other firearms of other peculiar interest. To include a few NFA items, but alas no suppressors. Slugs and buckshot only.
Neil McClean still owes Advanced Gunslinger Armament their shoutout for graciously allowing him to use their design. It was part of the deal but Neil seems to have issues with things like keeping his word.
And I quote, "I pretty much designed this". I guess my comment with a link to the McLean sling demo on Classic Firearms was taken down. Find me a link where Neil gives AGA credit and I'll eat my words.
I can’t believe no one mentioned the bag rider on the mk18 lol that is just absurd to have on such a short barrel with a red dot. Bag riders are meant to be used to sit flat on a bag for precision shooting in conjunction with a bipod
Since thats my rifle, the method to the madness is for it to be used for counter balance weight with the supressor that i have now thag wasnt yet apporved in that pic.
@@tylerzentner8681 ahh ok, you could always use a b5 sopmod with batteries or weights inside the compartments and it would look great with the quad rail. Either way though, that was my only complaint, everything else is very nice!
308 v 556, battle rifle v rifle caliber transitional space to Personal Defense Weapon discussion: It is cyclical and context based. Big military is moving back to battle rifles to address a near peer threat, who will likely, eventually, obtain rifle rated body armor. From a GWOT or LEO mindset, clearing a room with an off the shelf 308 doesn't make much sense. Whereas 556 against an armored threat, especially at distance, doesn't make much sense. What is fashionable comes and goes. The context and having a well tuned gas system is what matters most.
Yooo random question is 5.56X45MM NATO same as 5.56 nato? If so why does the DB15 says 5.56 nato but same rifle on different color says caliber 5.56X45MM NATO?
Its some bs you give that first setup a 9… thats a 10 all dam day . Its about whats on the firearm and the looks . Nothing on that first riffle deserves less then a 10 simple.
Man Jason’s intro was hilarious and set the tone!! Great addition to the team, along with Aaron

Beautiful intro. Cherry on top would of been an eagle screech at the end👌🤣
lol Clint is gone for 1 episode and everyone “I’m NoT gOiNg WaTcH eVeR aGaIn If CwEnT iSnT hErE” 😂😂
Now hes gone for good
But clint has fans guy
the one episode where we don’t hear about his mk18

Keep it going guys.
Love bust ur builds...
I see what I'd like to do & things I'd never do to MY firearms..
The 6.8 SPC specific ACOG is quite fantastic. Clearly this fellow spared no expense so I am willing to bet he has the proper optic on there.
Thanks for the feature guys!! Got some decent scores on my rifles, if Kaya thought the paint on my long rifle was interesting, he should see my Mock 18 now 😂
Love the patches too man

The judge with snake shot is a 10/10 around the farm, especially around the cord wood where the mice like to hole up.

Ikr
100%
308 SBR suppressed is the way.
I always represent my Banshee 10mm with Huxwrx Rad45 can for CQB. I always troll and say 10mm > 300blk for cqb lol

What’s going on with this guys one hour fighting 😂😂Clint I miss you man 😂
Jason has officially beat Dame Dash and Camron in a battle for the word Pause. He said “pause” about 20 times since the video started😂 17:18
The Tommybilt is an SBR, totally serialized
Wheres clint from classic firearms lol
Loved the intro should continue it.
Another Great Show guys 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
That Taurus Public Defender is SUPER lightweight.
Great to see Matt again.
Its birthday cake dont worry about it lmaooo...
I love Aaron!
That gun at 40:00 doesn't need a back up iron lol
Where's Clint?
DEI
Straight to jail
Finally made it on!!!😎😎

Where's Clint, I never see him anymore
according to his LinkedIn, as of April 2024 he's a Senior Marketing & Development Officer for Gun Owners of America.
The Maxim , has a 'hatebrake'. I love the platform.
Jason, the lancer 300blk mags also come in opaque black, not only translucent
Talking about the 300 blk specific ones but yeah.
The music during Jasons scoring 😂

Damn “put u on hold” music lol
I like to see my brothers up there 🤙🏾🇺🇸
BUT WHERE THE F IS CLINT!! 😭
We should get to watch the video of them all sitting in the mandatory HR brief after Kaya in this video
Scar or SR15? Depends the distance
And mission, 99% if the time SR15
I need that bluey patch that was the best
Kaya and his new race gimmick is the new meta 😂
I’m sorry Clint but that was the best intro CF has ever seen 💪🏼
Kaya you provert what the heck would you mount a fl@sh lite lmmfao you guys are great love it
Will you guys do another bust your build episode? If so, where can I send my build to participate?
MSR 10 is an illegal SBR with the pistol brace plug... strikes out hard IMO
Def need a drum mag on that Tommy Built replica 9mm for the finishing touch

The Olight incident was actually the cheap CR123 batteries that exploded inside the flashlight. It was not on Olight.
been waiting for this for forever
BKF stands for B Kings Firearms. They have great deals

Kaya forgot there’s a reason the FAL OSW with 25 round mags was made😂
where do we submit for bust your builds?
Damn I want the 6.8 SPC Conversion Kit for my ACR
Look up Templar Precision, they make replacement bolt heads in 5.56, 6.8 SPC, 7.62x39, and 6.5 Grendel, that you can match to your specific barrel.
How do you submit a rifle for bust your builds?
Great job awesome
Price Tag Challenge
I like the idea of sbr 308
How do we send in our builds for future videos?
Volume was in and out on some of the mics.
Where be Clint?
Straight to jail

CLINT is gone!
Ppl say bring him back as if he didn't choose to leave.
Long range definitely light trigger

As for the 308 vs 5.56, it depends on the situation, CQB, 5.56 would be better because less recoil. Distance situation, 308 all day.
I believe Clint just got married and is on his honeymoon.
Ryan’s needs to be on the videos now
I prefer to reach back for a hand full of peanut butter and corn and just clear gorilla throw my way to freedom ( caffeine concepts)
Bet the PDX was 300 blackout. Dude prob just threw a 556 mag in it, lots of people use them for blackout not everyone buys the specific lancer mags.
6.8 shout out Steve Holland

Yes same thing
Let them submit their builds to the mid tier group we’ll be honest.
My opinion is 308 is to big for CQB 556/223/300blackout would be more capatible for that kind of close quarters work. 308 long range. My opinion
Hi what's up fam
How do you enter? What address?
You have to be insecure asf to send in a photo of your firearm for other guys to judge it 😂
Where's Clint
No where to put your support hand on that maxim
308 all day
I love my builds my cqc my gpr my lra but i would never submit them just for them to tell me im cheap on everything but glass lol
4:27 id say kayas more of an OD green
No wonder Clint left.
Bring back Alec
If Clint isn’t going to be there anymore then I don’t want to watch.
i both unites setup is fine but i rather shoot the Mark 17 in my favor opinion cause im a scar family fan
Bring Clint back please. He’s the reason I started watching this channel. Lamesauce without him! This just feels flat and the energy isn’t there.
If they start taking Clint out I’ll stop watching
I'm sure that'll convince Classic Firearms, you're a disappointed drop in the ocean lol
@@hbomb3251there are many more of us. My whole family agrees as well.
Looks like he's with GOA now.
For some reason i never liked Clint but if he goes I'll still be sad 😢
Isnt he on paternity leave?
Most of these aren't builds. These are guns someone bought and through a bunch of accessories on. I like the guy that had an 80%, that's a build.
So many rookie scores. Everybody knows the rules
stay informed and continually deepen our understanding of firearms.
308 all day long
.i think we should do an episode of busting those suspenders
Overalls

308 close quarters indoors no thanks ill take 556 or 9mm
Where is Clint? Show was alot better with him
