I don't know if it is jealousy or envy, to be able to be a part of such an AMAZING BAND. It has been 37yrs since I was part of a marching band ( Marshall University Thundering Herd ), but we were nowhere near to what the Jukebox is and has been for years......I sit for hours watching your videos, both present & past, and it makes me wish that I could have been a part of your organization.....amazing video, keep them coming

No one wants to see St. Augustine, they aren't the best high school in New Orleans, when there's School's John F. Kennedy, G.W. Carver, , McDonald 35, John McDonald, LC Fortier, LB Landry, many others that many will say are better then St. Augustine only Politics put them on top know your history of high school bands of New Orleans Its schools that people outside of New Orleans don't see , so stop dreaming that St. Augustine is the best . Now what prove me wrong All boy school ya we know
This was one of the greatest games to go to. I was there. I’ll tell you why. The football game was never in question. UGA is a strong SEC team. So the fans were just fine with the Southern band putting on a great show. Sadly, a Southern player was paralyzed on a play, but the Georgia community stepped up and helped and even bought his family a handicap accessible house in Georgia. I was so proud and he is such a great kid. We donated money, too. He improved as well.
Georgia fans could handle it they just didnt really give a shit, as you can tell by all the georgia fans not paying attention to the band. Plus Gerogia won that game 48 to 6.
Simply the best representation of a HBCU at a PWI EVER! So crisp and clean in the stands and on the field. SU you representation very well! I'm from Georgia and they still talk about this performance.
I had to laugh. Did any of you catch how many of the men in "Red" could not take their eyes off the fabulous dancing dolls when they were performing in the stands? I don't think some of them even watched the game anymore. You go Girls - show them that beauty comes in all colors.

But FSU has always had Famu down the street(old fam before they got in trouble). I think from a musicality stand point intonation and even straight db. FSU as well as a few other nonHBCU can hang if not wreck HBCU bands...in the stands that is. No one can touch HBCU them on the field. But I mean hey that's what's great about America we are allowed to have our opinions and have a lively debate :)

Just a FYI: UGA fans do not stick around during halftime. They run to the concession stands and bathroom EXCEPT when they play a HBCU then they stay put and watch the band show out!

@Marcus Williams UGA Redcoats are an excellent group of 400+ individuals but the marching styles and music pieces are VERY different. UGA plays pep songs for the game while Southern plays hip hop/funk style pieces. You can't really say one or the other is bad. They both have great sound
the announcer at halftime seemed a bit slower this game, he been saying the same script for ages, not sure why it seemed like he was seeing it for the first time this game. good show SU

I love when HBCUs go to PWIs to play football games and bring the band along. Now I do understand that there advisements that are paid for that should be shown at the games but when a school like that comes. They play theadvertisement during the time that the HBCU are playing its makes me sick because I know some PWIs fan that would get to the gsme earlier just for the show only to be drawn out by Pre game advertisements.

I love the band as a whole, it's not too many that can stand in front of them and live to tell the tale... but I must say this wholeheartedly.... I absolutely hate the drum section... it could be so much more!!
Mervin, band members know how to form any combination of numbers from any formation at any time. Each member is a part of a squad (4 to 8 members) I think. Each member knows how to move to form the numbers. This is learned from day one.

I went to school at sU they have been doing that since the mid 80s at least. Since that's when I was in school there. I had a cousin that was in the band. They have certain steps. He said is wasn't hard at all to put the score on the field at halftime.
Right tho lol. Ive been watching MoB's old videos and they were really a force to be reckoned with. I would have loved to see Morris Brown and present day SU battle. I love SU, but they would've had to actually work hard for that win. Sadly, it'll nvr happen though.
