When you install 2019 server, do you use brand new server or existing 2016 exchange server. In our org we do have 2016 servers and I wanting to upgrade to 2019 but every time I do install its upgrading the existing server than installing brand new 2019 server?
If you try to install exchange 2019 on existing server with exc 2016, it will upgrade the existing 2016 exchange. It will not install brand new exchange server 2019. What are you exactly trying to achieve?
If you want a brand new exchange 2019, then you need to use a different member server and install exchange 2019 on it. Resulting you will have exchange server 2016 n 2019 an then migrate move things from 2016 to 2019 as this guy showed in the video
Will be putting this to the test in two days.
can you please update your post how it goes? I'm planning to do this in our production server.
I'm surprised to see how the old exchange server version 2016 is automatically showing in exchange 2019 ECP without doing anything!!
