Coming soon... Twitches 3: Son of a Twitch.
Ba dum tss
Nintendo Twich?
That's a pun based on the title of the sequel to Wicked, isn't it?
MajorasMaskGuy _ nope
Hamtaro Well the sequel to "Wicked" is "Son of a Witch"
I'm not sure how the star thing feels like Harry Potter.
I've read and reread those books more times than I can count and nothing similar is coming to mind.
The tiny star he gives her sounds more like something out of an old fairy tale. That's what I think they were going for.
Lucky Star I don't think that's why he said it, I don't think he meant that it's actually similar to something specific from Harry Potter, but that it wouldn't seem out of place in Harry Potter
Neil Gaiman’s Stardust, though.
I dunno. While a lot of things can happen in the Harry Potter universe, actually getting something like a star seems even far fetched for them. While they can do a lot, they still have limits and they aren't the most powerful magi setting.
@jiggles I'm not so sure. with the LotR comparisons he draws direct comparison (shadowy figures like sauron and the nazghul. As well as a magic ring) where as the Harry Potter comparison was the star...which made me raise my eyebrow and go "how?". it seems weird to compare it to 2 franchises and only have one be literal examples and the other being "kinda sorta maybe something I'd expect" from the other.
But at the same time I'm like 99% sure that Doug at least has decent LotR knowledge, if not being a straight up fan, where as Harry Potter is most definitely not his thing to where he has second hand knowledge of at best. So it makes sense that, outside of a castle or magic school like Halloween town had, he wouldn't be able to make a direct comparison to stuff. It's sorta like how even many non comic fans might know that batman is Bruce Wayne but might not know his full origin story jut because its something super well known. That's what his potter knowledge probably consists of "his name is harry potter, he's a wizard, he goes to a wizard school called Hogwarts that is a castle" :p
I agree. However, if I were to make a connection to Harry Potter, I'd say it seems like something from the Tales of Beedle the Bard, especially the Deathly Hallows. maybe that's what he meant
Wow a Disney original movie sequel to a Disney original movie that's actually not horrible?
Christmas miracles really do exist, huh?
Is it still considered an original movie if it's based on a book, however loosely? When I saw the review of the first movie, I had to guess if it was related to the books.
Lilian Achura TV movies are always called "original movies" to denote that the film debuted on that specific network. It has nothing to do with originality in the broad sense.
Also, he seemed to like HSM2 and 3.
I see. Thanks for the info!
I liked Halloweentown 2
The star in the pocket always reminded me of Howl's Moving Castle
Bat Wayne Yeah I don't even see how that could be a harry potter thing
Wait, the villain was named THANOS?!?!
they planned this the whole time.
Before he was searching for Infinity stones he was screwing with witches. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
ECKohns
That's pretty close to Thanatos, the Greek god of death.
The witches will return in Avengers: Infinity War.
He forgot to mention the Nick Fury cameo in the post credits scene, recruiting them to the Avengers. XD
You better do the suite life movie damn it
They did skip the Color of Friendship, so they better.
The Joker not on the list
Yes it's on the list you moron
That review should be up Friday
Doug, happy Christmas Eve!
yea
Giovanni Orellana mkkkk
Giovanni Orellana
Giovanni Orellana In greece it just got christmas
Every time i see one of the actors in this i keep thinking looks like the guy who played Goku in DBZ evolution
That's who I kept thinking of when I saw him! Thank you! I just had to look the movie up to see if it was him (it wasn't).
Eastyy haha omg I just noticed it
He looks a little bit like Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day. 🙂
AVJR He does, I see it
Yeah they look so alike, it's seriously uncanny. Maybe they could do a spinoff of this as twins themselves lol

Can't Run from Cheetah Girls 3 Doug
CatFox Raven Symone did.
Angel Young 😂 nice one
Doug, I'm still holding out for "The Color of Friendship." Hopefully you get to it before the end of the month.
Allegedly these are in chronological order so... :(
No one seems to realize that the Channel Awesome wiki has a list of which films he's reviewing for Disneycember this year. "Color Of Friendship" isn't on it. Maybe he'll do a "by popular demand" review of it in January, but he's not reviewing it before New Year's.
That makes me a sad panda.
That movie was wonderful. Sad that he isn't doing it but he might after the demand of certain movies.
My guess is that he'll do the DCOMs he skipped this year in next year's Disneycember. This year he said he was doing the most popular, and a lot of them seemed to be ones based no TV shows and their sequels. I look forward to him covering more next time around.
If "Dont' Look Under the Bed" isn't the final review this year, I'ma be sad :'(
SAME.
TheTrueShrew prepare to be disappointed then. He already skipped it. Hes doing these chronologically. Theres a list you can find on the TGWTG wiki of every movie hes doing this month
Nah, it's Descendants 2 as it's in chronological order.
I'm not 100% sure its FULLY chronological. But I also didn't do research. I recall a couple reviews ago people being all "do 'so the drama!' and they were replied with "he's doing it chronologically and the movie we're on right now came out after 'so the drama' so we wont get it"..but then he DID do so the drama. so either there's a bit of wiggle room or the person stating movie X (i dont remember which one now, just that it was 1-3 movies before 'so the drama') came after was simply incorrect.
Regardless of chronological order or not though, if there's a list then there's a list.
He said he was skipping some movies because there not enough days, but still will follow in a chronological order.
"It's surprisingly pretty decent" - Nostalgia Critic
From the back of the DVD box.
Still waiting for the Phineas and Ferb movie.
Jho _ that was in 2011 this is only 2007
Should be up Saturday
NeverMindGaming Why are you saying nope? According to the schedule, the Phineas and Ferb movie review will be up Saturday.
I miss Twitches. I think they could have made it into a TV show.
Twitches
Sister, Sister
Yup, that's all I seen them from.
Kifflom
(Tia:) I got my own mind
(Tamera:) I do my own style in my own time.
And now everybody sees. How different we have come to beee!
🎶Never knew how much I missed ya!🎶
SupaPixelGirl Go home Roger!
The star thing is actually not very Harry Potter-esque, I'm not sure why would you think that, there's nothing like that in the books.
I loved Tia & Tamara so much in the 90s. Haven't really seen them in anything for a long time
Don't know if you'll get to "Cheetah Girls 3" but these fairly positive reviews for the "Twitches" movies pretty much destroys the argument of "You don't get it because you're not female/POC."
On that note, I didn't even know these Twitches films existed.
The only Tia & Tamara DCOM I remember is"17 Again" or something where one of them plays their grandmother who....Becomes 17 again.
what the hell are you going on about???
uknownada that's what I'm saying. This person needs to learn how to articulate their ideas better. Cuz I'm confused as hell
POC = Person of Color.
DCOM = Disney Channel Original Movie.
Other than that, not sure what was confusing about my original comment.
Seventeen Again wasn't a DCOM
Ah, okay.
Was it Nickelodeon then, or ABC Disney?
Don't know if he'll review a Christmas movie tomorrow, but so excited for Camp Rock!!
I hope you are having an awesome Christmas Eve, Doug!
I heard they're going to bring back the show "Sister, Sister."
Awesome!
Not trying to be rude but isn't that Liv and Maddie?
Intimidation yay?
Intimidation I mean the plot of Sister Sister and Liv and Maddie are pretty close.
Ksesay1999 Sesay... How
Twitches two is better then the first one.
It really is. I like their world and the celestial magic a lot more than the real life stuff lol
Twitches Too is The Empire Strikes Back of the Twitches movie franchise.
Their dad looks like George Lazenby
I remember when I was a little kid, I used to love this movie. This one was my favorite one out of the two, and I got excited to watch it around Halloween all the time.
I always loved the part when they fought the evil uncle.
1. Why is there a sequel to this movie?
2. CHRISTMAAAAAAASSSSSSS...........eve
3. It’s almost Christmas and you’re still reviewing Halloween movies.
Grayman 2003 it’s Disneycember, dude
this is in chronological order for Disney channel original movies... this was next on the list for Disneycember
Grayman 2003 who said it was a Halloween movie? Cant we have magic and witches outside of Halloween or do you forbid it?
This is gonna be good. Merry Christmas Doug
I used to love Sister, Sister. Kind of mad I slept on these movies back in the day. Time to scour the internet.
I hope he does the phineas and ferb movie and the suite life movie
Wizards of Waverly place the movie maybe?
That review should be up Thursday.
Him talking about how like family and more serious these movies are remind me of a movie that I honestly forgot was a Disney Channel movie til recently. Tru confessions dealing with a teenage girl and her autistic brother. I don't exactly remember the quality or plot but I remember being shocked at how serious the subject matter was especially for something like a Disney Channel movie. I know it's not one of the classic ones but I hope one disneycember to see his opinions on it especially just for how honestly shocking it is to see Disney channel original movie tackle something like that
also Merry Christmas to everyone I hope it's wonderful
Kind of a fun surprise that there are actually a good number of Disney Channel films. I expected it to be like the Disney Sequels where only two or three were salvageable, but it turns out that there is a good set of films that were made and actually had more than just $$ in mind.
As a twin, I really appreciated Sister, Sister and the Twitches movies; even if they're not my favorite. I was also a fan of magic and witchery so Twitches was right up my alley! ^-^
Should’ve called it ‘Twitches Also.’
What's the background music for this vid? It's so calm yet mysterious and it's fantastic! Really fits with the magical themes of the movie
You know, with how popular Twitches and Halloweentown were, I'm surprise Disney never got the idea to do a crossover. Granted it would've been risky given how Twitches is a bit darker than Halloweentown but still...
My favorite Disney channel films! I'm glad you liked them too, Doug!
They're back
Only just slightly better than the last time.
I loved the twins growing up, might gotta check these movies out.
I'm glad he liked both! They're my favorite Disney Channel movies.
Anyone else remember seeing the pilot episode of Phineas and Ferb right after Twitches Too first premiered? I SWEAR Ferb had a different, non-British voice at the end of the episode. Maybe it's just the Mandela Effect messing with my mind again.
Phineas & Ferb (in my universe) premiered after HSM 2. But that's interesting that you remember that!
I remember it premiering after High School Musical 2, but that was in the United States.
Ferb actually did have a different voice actor in the pilot.
Mariana Gonzalez actually, I think Disney Channel showed it after both.
From what I remember, Ferb was originally meant to be voiced by Mitchel Musso (a.k.a. Oliver on _Hannah Montana_ ). However, co-creator Jeff "Swampy" Marsh wanted a British actor in the part after he worked on some British animated shows, so one of the kids from _Nanny McPhee_ ended up voicing Ferb instead, while Musso got to voice Jeremy, Candace's love interest.
Anyone else feel like this is just an extended Disneycember of last year with all the sequels?
Since I grew up watching them Mowry twins in "Sister Sister" I probably would have caught this back in the day with my younger sisters. Somehow missed tehse!
Merry Christmas Doug! And good job on the review as usual. =]
Twitches would have been such a fun mid-2000s adventure game series.
Merry Christmas Doug and to all the Channel Awesome crew
Just dropped by to say, have a magically merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Doug! And to everyone at Channel Awesome
Legit wanna read the books now! Didn't even know they existed before I read the comments on the last Twitches review! :-)
Go for it. I liked them, though I have a hard time finding them online...
Remember to
SHUT THAT DOOR
TBH, hope tomorrow (Chritmas) NC reviews Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas!
Raquel Rivera you and me both
There's a complete list of all the films he's doing this month on the Wikia, and it's been accurate so far.
That'd be my everything
I checked the list, but it's not on there. : (
Tomorrow should be Camp Rock. Good Luck Charlie isn't on his list.
Very Merry Christmas to Walker family and Channel Awesome crew.
This is the most early I’ve ever seen to a viseo
I'll grant that there may be Harry Potter elements in the movie, but I don't see how the "captured star" is at all Potteresque…?
He's probably comparing it to the Deluminator.
Merry Christmas Channel Awesome!
Merry Christmas Critic! Merry Christmas Tamara, Rob, Malcom, Rachael, & EVERYONE on the crew!
Merry Christmas random person scrolling through comments!
It does sound like an intriguing premisse for a kids movie to have this shadow who might be a vilain to defeat but at the same time might not.
The scene where the mother and father dance had this really nice music that I never found a clip of on RUclips.
Okay, you've convinced me to check out these movies. They look like legitimately good films.
Merry Christmas, Doug!
Merry Christmas Eve!
Not gonna lie, I completely forgot there was a sequel.
Like no memory once so ever.
It came back to me during the review though, and that was super weird.
Merry Christmas Doug Walker! Thank you for all the videos you and your team have made!
Well, that’s one way to spend Christmas Eve.
This has been a great disneycember. Good job Doug.
Well At least it isn't Twilight. lol
I'm sorry, how is someone literally giving someone a star Harry Potter-esque?
Obligatory "this had a sequel!?!?"
I remember watching both of these movies, and I really enjoyed them. I'm just a real big fan of fantasy type stuff
Thank God someone who pronounces Sauron correctly
Halloween movie on Christmas Eve. Sure had a lot of Halloween movies on that channel!
Merry Christmas Eve Channel Awesome crew!
I think this is one of the last things I saw before drifting away from the Disney Channel completely (though later I'd become interested in animation and come back to the channel for its animated shows but not its live action ones).
Thantos being the villain always screws with me a little bit because that actor was also in the third season of Veronica Mars as one of her college professors and now I can't see him as anything else but Thantos
CHRISTMASSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the shadow effects in this movie. I want to learn how to create effects like these.
I loved these films when they'd come on, I'd get super excited
When Im without your twitches, I be needing stitches
Merry Christmas Doug.
I do know one thing, this was one sequal I watched more than the original
"disneycember 2017" blog day 24 brings in more magic with "twitches too" feat Tia & Tamera mowry from "sister sister!" "go twitches go twitches go!" we know what tomorrow is but let's keep it as a surprise
Hey, Doug's playing a hangdrum song in this one!
A Disney sequel actually good... damn that was unexpected
The ultimate christmas gift is next!!!!!!
I'm seriously disappointed you're not doing ALL of the DCOMs, because you've left out a bunch! (Don't Look Under The Bed, Brink, Double Teamed, Rip Girls, Johnny Tsunami, Miracle in Lane 2, Twas The Night, Phantom of the Megaplex, The Color of Friendship, Tru Confessions, Mom's Got A Date with a Vampire, A Ring of Endless Light... I could go on!)
Merry Christmas Eve Doug :D
I was looking forward to Tiger Cruise. But nice review!
Marry Christmas Doug and happy new year
Merry Christmas Critic xxx
Spoiler Alert the Shadow is Thanatos He finessed their Dumbasses!
Plot Twist! Thanatos has their Dad. After they defeat Thanatos their dad is set free.
it took me a second but i remember watching this as a kid i never saw the first one but i did see this one
Yup enjoyed these movies
I was obsessed with the books in middle school. I always wanted them to have a bigger budget movie that was closer to the books, but these will do... I guess.
I wish you'd do the more og movies. Tru's Confessions was really good and Get A Clue was one of my favorites. It seems like you're just focused on the most popular ones, which is fine since this is only a month long event
😶.......I really need to rewatch both movies. ❤😍❤
I thought the star was suppose to be like a "W" so its Twitches Two
To be entirely fair I wonder how many of these fantastical Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings-like elements come from the books the movies were based off of.
Merry Christmas to everyone at Channel Awesome 💖🎄🎁
