Pergamon, (now Bergama), was a town I used to go to nearly every weekend during many years !! I even had a lot of revelations on site, and even another important highly personal and spiritual event, I can't disclose here.
I was all alone, often times ! More recently, quite a lot of people at times, and a huge gate, a ticket office... It's not the same at all, anymore. Somehow, the high light energies fled away. Ugh.
I was so happy and well there.
The first time I went, I spent a whole day amidst the ruines, on top of the steep hill, under olive trees and drank from the blessed fountain!! I hadn't read nor heard anything about it at all. I had come to that town very early morning to change buses only late evening, to go to the North of the country. So I had the whole day infront of me!! I went to the tourist office, they told me what the town offered, (not much) and the ruines, without any details of what Asklepion really was.
So I climbed the steep hill in the heat, to be happy to be welcomed by birds, sheep, and silence, not a human in sight !! The ruines where nearly hidden, and it was very difficult to get there. Same to go down again, later! I stayed until sunset, it was a magical happening.
