TNA was so special. Back in 2004 I started watching and I was impressed with the unmatched athleticism shown by of course AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, and Chris Sabin. They brought something new and exciting to pro wrestling that will never return, in my mind. From 2004-late 2009 was such a great time to watch TNA. And this match proves my point.
TNA was awesome but Christopher Daniels? Really? That dude was ass and them trying to push him as a top card wrestler for so long was one of their many stupid mistakes.
Nah. Not underrated, I think among anyone who knows wrestling would say they're the best commentary duo of all time. To me it goes Mike Tenay and Don West, then Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler then Steve Corino and Kevin Kelly.
Turning Point 2005 is remembered for the first-ever Barbed Wire Massacre, the announcement of TNA's signing of the wrestler Sting, and Samoa Joe's title win which was ranked by TNA as the 34th greatest moment in the company's history.
I love how the crowd jus appreciated every top tier guy they had. They booed when Joe kicks out of the clash. They cheer for Joe when he's about to muscle bust on the AJ on the chair. Then chant for Daniel's when he makes the save. I fucken loved this match, feeling everything all over again. Thank you Samoa Joe/ AJ styles! Made my night, again!!!!!!
Umaga vs Samoa Joe would have been so damn AWESOME!!! Umaga & Joe destroyed 2 iconic wrestlers who are currently in a fued right now and I think Umaga and Samoa Joe would DESTROY each other.
Wow! To look back at these days now as a full grown adult… I can now see that these two young guys at the time were carrying this company and carrying it very well. For a guy who was at the time loyal to Monday nights and Friday nights, these guys really brought out the best memories in my childhood on those Thursdays! Thank you AJ and Samoa
Bring back Don West, Please. So sick of Taz and Tenay as a combo, they are dull and terrible. Yea, Don had no idea what the holds were, but his energy makes you feel the action
What a brutal kick Samoa Joe did to AJ Styles, this is why he does multiple strikes & he does every different Submission maneuver, that’s why Joe is the Samoan Submission Machine.
two of my favorite tna and wwe wrestlers in my list my boy aj styles and styles and Samoa joe true classic tna match one of my favorite tna matches in my list.
Awesome match. But what I want to know is how do people even botch taking the styles clash?he couldn't even get joe up completely right he was on his head and he still had enough time to throw his head back to take it right.
Incredible match, imho their best one-on-one match as of 2007 and probably the best match they have ever had against each other: I gave this a rating between 8.01 and 8.50 and, even if maybe this is not the best page to recommend other matches, I also highly recommend their PWG match in 2005; I do not remember the PWG event name, but I gave that match the same rating I gave to this, with the difference that the PWG match is not as close to 8.50 as this TNA match
this is what TNA needs 2 get back 2. cut off the every wack wrestler, and bring in some good talent that'll work 4 cheap. there's a whole lot of future upcomers that'll even b happy 2 work 4 less and b happy 2 get a national buzz while still doing work at their local promotion.
Samoa Joe in his prime ranks in my top 10 favourites. The style he worked was so believable. Just awesome.
Joe could be a great fit for the UFC
@@krestainwatsonjr. He would be a great opponent for ken shamrock.
Styles has the perfect dropkick
+Tiago Lethal kazuchika okada
+Monit Duggal Both.
Gillberg.
In no order
AJ
Okada
Holly
Orton
Maven
Lance Storm had an excellent standing dropkick.
I remember when TNA wasn't one style. They had Pure Wrestling, Entertainment, Comedy and Hardcore Wrestling all together.
Truth 👏
This is honestly my personal favorite TNA match of all time. An actual banger and felt longer than 24 minutes

That first dropkick of AJ's would absolutely work as a finisher in earlier years. Devastating.
Always fun coming back to a video to see I left a comment there.

Mike Tenay and Don West is such an underrated commentary duo. Always had great chemistry
Nah. Not underrated, I think among anyone who knows wrestling would say they're the best commentary duo of all time. To me it goes Mike Tenay and Don West, then Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler then Steve Corino and Kevin Kelly.
The commentary is awesome in this match...
I have goosebumps every time i see these two together, they create magic
I didn't know two men could make magic ;)
+Thomas Lowe oh yeah ... It's EPIC magic
Samoa Joe is great in TNA. Awful in wwe.
TNA Turning Point 2005 was how it all started for me 11 years ago...
This is Wrestling
The commentary just incredible
+Sean Blake Tenay & West were no doubt no doubt the best commentary duo in TNA Wrestling's history.
Don West and Mike tenray we're the best TNA announcers ever !
Back when wrestling is more than just doing multiple super kicks & Canadian destroyers
Or who can kick out of the most finishers
Back when kicking out at one out of a powerbomb was something special and not the standard
That shooting star press dive off top rope to the floor is a thing of beauty
Turning Point 2005 is remembered for the first-ever Barbed Wire Massacre, the announcement of TNA's signing of the wrestler Sting, and Samoa Joe's title win which was ranked by TNA as the 34th greatest moment in the company's history.
Joe the realest man. He went through a war with AJ and still had enough strength to fight off an attack from Daniels
Have to keep in mind, these guys were so young and could do such matches because of it. Awesome match!
I love how the crowd jus appreciated every top tier guy they had. They booed when Joe kicks out of the clash. They cheer for Joe when he's about to muscle bust on the AJ on the chair. That victory roll counter into the coquina clutch is one of my absolute favorite reversals
Best 1 ON 1 X Division Championship match in TNA's history.
the sequence when AJ was kicking out at 1 gave me serious goosebumps
Samoa Joe was vicious
Still is
Joe's kicks...He doesn't even need to slap the leg. His boot against AJ's skin already creates the sound
I swear I felt those kicks while watching

Samoa Joe and aj styles brought the house down with this personal match kicking in with joe’s streak against aj’s title.🤘🤘🤘🤘
these guys were and still are tough as hell. Listen to some of those kicks and check em, not all have the "thigh slap" technique to make the sound
this is a world title main event type of match got to love Joe
the 3 guys TNA should of built the company around. . .aw well too late
Brian Banegas who's the 3rd?

In the 2005 rankings. Aj Styles should be #1. John Cena should have been #2. Batista should have been #3. In my opinion.

This is T.N.A at it finest the glory days before Hogan screwed up T.N.A
