yesterday i got my rejection letter from barnard and i simply don’t know what to do. being an international student required me so much extra work and i put everything i had in me in that application. going to barnard was the best solution to pursue my dream of working in the film industry and now i feel like i’m stuck in my country where i basically don’t have any opportunity. i’m so so so frustrated.
I’m so so sorry to read this :( I know rejection is so hard especially when Barnard was your dream school but please don’t forget there are other opportunities! This definitely sucks but you won’t be stuck forever and that’s important to remember. There are other great schools for film and I definitely suggest not letting this hold you back! You’re worth going to a great school and just because Barnard wasn’t the right fit for you doesn’t mean you won’t find your perfect fit
Wow, I literally had the same dream, the same mindset and I'm also an international student rejected from Barnard ED - so I get you so much. Stay strong! You know, successful filmmakers get rejected thousands of times but at the end of the day, the ones who never give up are the ones to succeed. It will be fine!

I applied ed1 to Dartmouth and got deferred and was heartbroken, but I just got a likely letter from Barnard this week. Everything truly works out
