its confidence. And practice. They are all really coming into their own. I first saw them live during the blood mountain days. And it's unreal how far they've come. Wish I could've seen them during their remission tour, but I still got to see mother puncher and march of the fire ants live. For real though, they have truly all come into their own live. Studio they've always been killer. But it also takes confidence and patience with yourself to really shine live. Brent has really come into his own vocally. And troy has exceeded all expectation. And the degree to wich brent and bill are in synch is unreal. Also lucky enough to have brent eat at the ramen bar in denver that I bartend at, so got to talk to him and his wife (she's brazilian, forgot her name)... anyway, those two shred and play so well of one another. Circle of cysquatch , mother puncher, and the czar are examples of that. And my god brann. Between his drumming and now his vocals. He fucking kills it live. Hats off boys. you fucking shred. Among the modern greats... you and electric wizard stand at the top. Uncle acid a close third
This is hands down my absolute favourite Mastodon song, which says a lot considering how many amazing songs this guys have, and I never even thought it could sound this good in this acoustic/ambient tune.. So beautifull guys, you simply never seize to amaze me!! Love you guys so much!!
Didn’t really get this song on first listen but found myself going back to it and now it’s prob my favorite. Then they do this acoustic version?? Amazing and ambient yet still powerful
Ikr. So fn awesome. I heard the fully produced version live a few days ago. As much as I love that version, this acoustic, stripped down version fn slaps 🔥🔥🔥
I want to note that Mastodon, for whatever reason, has gotten damn good live. Recent show with Opeth they played Czar, what a treat it was.
It was UNREAL I fully agree
dude i saw em live at the palace theatre in Albany, the killed it. Especially when they played the czar live.

I saw them on Sunday and Holy shit czar was easily my fav song of the night
@@LemursManLemurs1 Your taste in music is fucking impeccable. Uncle Acid is ridiculously underrated
They reeeeally need to do an acoustic album.
YESSSS! I am convinced that Mastodon is sitting on an acoustic version of Hushed and Grim 🤔

Me too 😊
One of their best live performances ever.
This is insanely awesome. That chugged verse riff could be played in an ukulele and it would still be groovy af.
I hope they have this queued up for an official live release sometime in the near future. Very impressive show and love the visuals, sounds great!
Absolutely, they seem really on. I'm definitely impressed
A CD/DVD combo consisting of the acoustic version of Hushed and Grim & this set on Blu-ray would be fantastic
Phenomenal. U can see it in Troy’s occasional smiley face
Это шедевр просто!!! Хочу это в "аудио-формате" в хорошем качестве! Блеск!
a true monster of a tune
Harmony is everything.... I am constantly amazed

I think it was a fund raiser where the aquarium needed to be saved. Excellent cause.
I just dunno if I like ‘em or not…. Maybe it’s a mood thing.
👍👍 nice to hear Brann stay in his lane for once
