Individual person would like to know about product patent in standoff process patent. Process patent is related to pharmaceutical companies but product patent related information will help every person to make his own product that can be patentable, profitable and encourage every person to do inventions I like this lecture thank you Miss
what happens in product patent?? like process patent leads to increase in the production of drugs?? what about product patent? I don't understand product patent? what does product patent do? what happens if product patent is adopted? plz clear dis mam
Product patent is exclusive rights given to original inventor of product means no one can provide the same product by same or diff process. This lead to monopoly in one's hand thus no competition is left . In process patent , patent granted for particular process and not for the product means anyone can produce same product through different procedure or process leads to competition among producers thus decreasing the price of commodity through more production. But due to entering into agreement with wto india had accepted to amend Indian patent act in 2005, added sec 3d under it which prevents evergreening of patent through slightly modifying the original product created problem for US and due to this us has put us in its priority watch list .
Video is on good topic, points are also good....but why you continuously repeats the same sentence people can see it by clicking back again....repeating makes it inefficient...it's RUclips and not a lecture hall mam
If Post-2005 the drugs became affordable because of increased burden for patentability. Then how come from 1970-1995 pharmaceutical products were more affordable and highly productive as India was using both types of patentability- Product patent and also process patent?
I have no intention of making fun of writer of this video.in this whole video writer is using word 'EFFICIENCY' but in reality it's called 'EFFICACY'.There is conceptual difference between EFFICIENCY and EFFICACY
swati sangwan inventing new drug and then getting patented and then post-marketing surveillance is very different in India than other countries and at same time very complex procedure...facts given in video are misleading....some times information given in this video is foolish
Thankyou Mam for explaining like this , i am an IAS aspirant and i wouldn't explain this things in words that hou much this website help me to clear my doubts ,thanks once again

It's not 3(d) of IPR. IPR is a generic name of a set of rights. It's of parents act 1970. It was introduced in 2005 amendment.
