Stupid question I know but - why keep air conditioning altogether? Investing in new technologies is all good, but we shouldn't forget that the most efficient think is to drastically reduce our use of pretty much every technology.

Good question Camille - of course reducing use of air conditioning is a top priority. However, this is not always possible in every country. And unfortunately, temperatures will continue to rise accross the globe. Replacing existing air conditioning units that pollute is still preferable to leaving them in place. And some industries like the pharmaceutical industry need cold production as a key part of the production phase.
