Cultivated land can be rented, but after leasing, the land must still be used only for growing crops and cannot be changed to its function. Both cultivated land and residential land can be passed down from generation to generation to your descendants. If the state wants to use rural land, it needs to purchase it from the villages that own the land. Urban land belongs to the state, so any commercial group or enterprise that wants to use the land needs to purchase the use rights from the state. The use period is 70 years, and the use rights can be traded and transferred. If you privately own land use rights and the state wants to expropriate your land, it will also need to purchase it from you at market prices and compensate for related losses caused by demolition. This is also market behavior. Regarding the issue of 70-year use period, it is not that you will be evicted after 70 years of your residence, but that your right to use the house will be naturally extended without paying any fees. Chinese people especially in the villages are warm and spontaneous. Much like in our country. That is an important point, that the media creates the divisions in the world. The truth around the world most ordinary people goes by the policy "live and let live". You will have a better outlook of life if you travel and visit these people.
