In Nightwish she was always keeping some sort of pose and she wasn't exactly happy on stage. I don't know about you guys but I do see serious contradictions between all this and what was written in that damn letter... In the end, I think, unfortunately, Nightwish was the main problem, not Tarja.

Remember that Tuomas and Nightwish still are on tour with these songs and perform them continously. I clearly can understand Tarja. She has to give something back, kind of musical revenge. Go on, Tarja!
I agree to an extent. I'm prolly one of the most hardcore Nightwish fans out there (with Anette as well) and Tarja's solo material... She has a few great songs, but... Her being doesn't possess the same magic without Tuomas's lyrics. Either way you put it, even if the music isn't good, she still has the voice of an angel and even better looks. >=P
she's always moved funny, but I love her anyway!! she's wonderful!!! and as far as I care, she can headbang in a Barney costume and I'll still love it X-D I've haad enooooouuuuuughhhhh.... *w*

Its not that she tries to be hispanic, she just makes more of an effort to connect with her fans in hispanic countries. She probably feels a stronger tie there since she spends half her free time there and since her husbands hispanic. Plus Nightwish kind of dominates Finland. They are alot more popular than her.

@YouAreLost2 i disagree. unfortunately, one can tell that her stage attitude is pretty contrived, unlike her attitude with nightwish. (She's playing up the head-banging and the fist-pumping to keep people interested. With nightwish, she didn't need to do that because the songs were more thorough). BUT that's just my opinion and i dont want anyone to take offense from it.
With Nightwish she was early on a classical a singer and more girly. She has been around rock and metal scene so much now, and changed her style accordigly. She owns heaps of metal albums and follows metal genre, so apparently it has grown on her.
nightwish has no magic anymore! tarja was the magic, the soul, the star. nightwish is a shell now with a singer that does not fit. thats magic? tarja has not changed, nightwish has, for the worse.
I have to agree with you. She's beautiful but her headbanging now looks a little bit...weird. Plus to see her going nuts on stage in elegant gown like these...please no.
