Jokers coming back. In the prequel comics the doctors who were doing the autopsy on joker said he had a fake layer of skin. The song at the beginning says " I've got you under my skin." Second, when the Henry Adams poster comes up "only you" is playing in the background. The song that joker sang to batman. They cremated Henry Adams instead of the real joker.
Such clever use of the song by rocksteady team, the entire joker-batman relation in arkham knight is perfectly summed up by this song,,,,,"i got you under my skin"
Looking back I though the use of Frank Sinatra’s song was just used as a creepy way to start the game but after playing it through the song is the joker singing it he’s literally saying to him he’s still there inside Batman’s mind and that he hadn’t won killing him it’s a clever and genius way for foreshadowing in the game
***** Which is great, right? What do you think about it, anyway? Personally, I've been dying to see Batman at his most gritty and brutal. Not to say I hate Nolans films, but..I felt like watching them was like going on a rollercoaster at a theme park.
Shadow Nolan's films are constantly praised as being "dark, gritty, and intelligent" but the comics are generally far more dark, gritty and intelligent than Nolan's films. Arkham Knight seems to have the same tone as the Killing Joke and Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.
Guess you know a lot more than me, though I did look into The Killing Joke. I guess I just didn't feel a connection to the Nolanverse..Rachel was randomly thrown into the mix, and their whole dynamic was kind of rushed. Heath Ledger made an excellent Joker, though. I guess when I think of dark, I think more The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. I remember being genuinely creeped out, especially by the scene when Joker killed that entire studio audience with those..Creepy kids.
Shadow Heath Ledger really didn't feel like Joker to me personally. But I do know what you're talking about with Dark Knight Returns. Year One was also incredibly dark as well.
I feel that "Under My Skin" was used because it shows that even though he is dead, Joker is still a big part of Batman's life, probably by Batman thinking about him a lot and he will not be able to forget about it. And at 1:05, that line is basically Joker telling Batman from the grave, you can't win. Thoughts?
Heard the old-timie music start, mistook it for Beyond the Sea and thought I was going back to Rapture for a second. Still besides that, great video, looking forward to when this game comes out.
Did anyone else notice that in the background of the diner they are playing "Only You" as a callback to the Joker when he sang it during the credits of Arkham City. Cleaver reference
sobversion3 video i always noticed adult mags but they had metal sheet covering them saying 18 so you had to lift the mag from behind it to see anything
Imagine if that was the jokers clone who got ill and he had multiple clones but he trick everyone into the ill one so they thought he was the joker or maybe in the game batman will get illusions of the joker or when scarecrow gasses people and then they see there fear maybe he does that to batman and it's the joker
I remember that guy in arkham city that did plastic surgery to make him Bruce Wayne, I can't shake the feeling with the song and reference to him being dead it's just playing on me lol
Ok so the guy in the booth was obviously Scarecrow, but what was that A on the table for? Was it for the Arkham Knight? Was it for Anarchy (from Arkham City; the way it was stylized)? Was it for Azriel? I NEED ANSWERS
alan sanchez if clayface was in arkham asylum which got destroyed and sold to tiger in ac the rest would of been as well so clayface is probably loose in gotham also this is 9-10 months after city i doubt they rebuilt asylum in that amount of time then also got all supervillians back in and then have joker have enough time to break them all out and also tell them about his plan. and im guessing he told them about the plan before agreeing to release them.
I solved it! DID ANYONE NOTICE IN ARKHAM ORIGINS THERE WERE JOKER CARDS THAT LOOK LIKE ARKHAM CITY JOKER, CUZ ARKHAM ORIGINS JOKER AND ARKAHM CITY JOKER LOOK DIFFERENT. ARKHAM CITY JOKER LOOKS LIFE HENRY
2:21 henry adams missing poster. i dont think that a guy who died in 1918 is going to be found. also its not a dc charecter. secret identity of archam night?
The Fallen Maybe it means to rebuild the Arkham City area (Which was originally Old Gotham) instead of just remaking the prison. That would make more sense as Bruce was always against it and Crime Alley is in Old Gotham.
That he died?! No! I actually enjoyed all the batman games that had the joker as the main bad guy. Sure it gets too repetitive, but I still love the joker. I can never get tired of him.
I've got nothing against the Joker, I'm just sick of him being the villain to every Batman game. And the fact that they're showing the Joker in this trailer makes me convinced that he's definitely gonna make an appearance. Probably to set up the next game after this one
I was so expecting the Joker to open his eyes lol
He open the eyes in new Game plus
3:00 "Besides, I wasn't afraid, I'm Batman"
RIP Joker,this song made me cry ;-;
Can even begin to explain how pissed I would have been if the joker had opened his eyes
Yea
Why would you be pissed? Lol
Man i'd be so angry, i'd cancel my pre-order, sell all my copies of the arkham games and never buy the game
Sike i'd still buy it but still.
evilmidget6 Joker is alive
fireburn95rs joker is dead have u played arkham city
For a second there I thought jokers eyes where gonna open
Conner Wilcons

In new game + they do and he says this is how the joker dies pretty cool

You got kinda close in a way
Such clever use of the song by rocksteady team, the entire joker-batman relation in arkham knight is perfectly summed up by this song,,,,,"i got you under my skin"
3:13 "see kids that's why we don't smoke"

Reminds me of 1989 Batman. More gritty and brutal. Love it.
flexor212000 It's more gritty and brutal than any Batman movie. Surprisingly, it's more gritty and brutal than a lot of comics.
***** Which is great, right? What do you think about it, anyway? Personally, I've been dying to see Batman at his most gritty and brutal. Not to say I hate Nolans films, but..I felt like watching them was like going on a rollercoaster at a theme park.

@@JokerMatt yes, my bad
This shows how dark the game will be and I am loving every second of it!
3:02
"I'm Batman.."
Best Batman intro ever...
I feel that "Under My Skin" was used because it shows that even though he is dead, Joker is still a big part of Batman's life, probably by Batman thinking about him a lot and he will not be able to forget about it. And at 1:05, that line is basically Joker telling Batman from the grave, you can't win. Thoughts?
Pretty off
why are people saying they would be pissed if the joker is alive? the joker is awesome
Mohammed Khan cause he died,so if he open his eyes, this would be ridiculous.
the game can now have a greater depth.
is better this way.
My name is Bruce Wayne....
Bruce Wayne Good for you. There's probably a thousand other dudes on youtube with the exact same name.
***** My name is Bruce Wayne
Delirious Lynx I got that reference..
Good. Lol
Bruce Wayne can you swim
the song reminds me of toy story
KP-48 Actually it kind of reminds me of Bioshock.
If this song doesn't immediately remind you of Fallout....
Jacob McQuaid it also reminds me of frankmsinatra
KP-48 ya because Randy Newmann and Frank Sinatra sound so similar.
@@basilkarlo1557 it is Frank Sinatra so
Looking back on it, the song name was such a big giveaway that joker would be returning
The smile just glows

I miss you joker :(
This is Awsomazing (awesome+amazing)
one of the best game intros
Mr.J! :'( But I'm also happy that scarecrow will finally be playing a huge rule in this game. Truly a terrifying villain!
BADASS!!
Fitting how joker is under batmans skin in this game
Did anyone else notice that in the background of the diner they are playing "Only You" as a callback to the Joker when he sang it during the credits of Arkham City. Cleaver reference
Love this
This game was the best game I've ever played next to the witcher 3, the ending was so mind blowing
Now I can see why this game is rated M. Can't wait to play this next week
The immovable object loses its unstoppable force
I was like : Oh the camera stopped... (realizes) please dont open your eyes, please ;~;
Ah, it is good to see my sweet Scarecrow come back, but Joker will be forever missed.
Definitely understand the rated M
sobversion3 Yah i am not going to let my 10 year old brother watch me play it.
Ian Laird Good guy Laird. Protecting childrens' innocence since uh... Birth
tazzerdevil98 Wait like video or are we talkin playboy magazine with just pictures?
sobversion3 video i always noticed adult mags but they had metal sheet covering them saying 18 so you had to lift the mag from behind it to see anything
Joker + Batman = everything
The begin make me remember of Fallout New Vegas
That escalated quickly...
Dayyuuum Scarecrow is selling cops weed!
That Song!!!
R.I.P Joker😔
Epic!
I can't wait to see the limits pushed to get n M rating. very excited.
From the music you'd think that you were watching a Fallout 4 Trailer
The smoking customer scratched Anarky's "A" into his table. It's visible before he turns around.
Rocksteady has comfirm that Joker is dead
ive got this game uder my skin
"You fell for the old fake Joker gag, Batman!"
Imagine if that was the jokers clone who got ill and he had multiple clones but he trick everyone into the ill one so they thought he was the joker or maybe in the game batman will get illusions of the joker or when scarecrow gasses people and then they see there fear maybe he does that to batman and it's the joker
“Don't smoke here, kid." Or, “Goodbye, Walter". *sigh* (recently watched BB)
I feel bad for Joker. 😓😖 forever missed. The greatest Batman villain of all time.
Mike Ehrmantraut is a Badass
epic!!
Did anyone notice Sefton hill leave the diner when the officer enters lol
Ryan Beri at 2:23
I remember that guy in arkham city that did plastic surgery to make him Bruce Wayne, I can't shake the feeling with the song and reference to him being dead it's just playing on me lol
r.i.p joker

2ForTheShow No it was just a henchman carrying the fear toxin.
Anarky
супер игра будет )
The song reminds me bioshock
Did the officer just kill everybody in the diner after getting a whiff of Scarecrows smoke thingy ?
Yo the game is out!!!!!!! I PRE-ordered this in the beginning of December!!!!!
just a hallucination, this fool cop was killing people.
Im getting it toooo
Anyone notice at 2:25 the guy on the right looks like Sefton Hill?
is it just me or the guy that talks in the begining is Mike the hitman from BREAKING BAD?
i don't know why but i got a feeling that the monsters he's shooting are actual real people
RIP 🃏
Joker poor joker I'll die for him
If we see joker alive in arkham knight got explanation, who got burned was clayface or batman saw the joker by scarecrow fear gas
Death-Control he is dead, person that made the game said he was dead on bman ak live cast
I think Clayface is in arkham because he was defeated by Batsy in Arkham City. I think Joker is dead.
alan sanchez if clayface was in arkham asylum which got destroyed and sold to tiger in ac the rest would of been as well so clayface is probably loose in gotham also this is 9-10 months after city i doubt they rebuilt asylum in that amount of time then also got all supervillians back in and then have joker have enough time to break them all out and also tell them about his plan. and im guessing he told them about the plan before agreeing to release them.
look like a survival game :D
SO CLOSE
What is the song
It's Clayface. He melts.
Clayface fell in The Pit...
Nur noch 6 tage :D

fun fact: Frank Sinatra wanted to play the Joker
3:10 A for anarchy?
so this game is now an fps?
Pause at 2:29
Arkahm city Re-built?
And by Bruce Wayne ??
The Fallen Maybe it means to rebuild the Arkham City area (Which was originally Old Gotham) instead of just remaking the prison. That would make more sense as Bruce was always against it and Crime Alley is in Old Gotham.
Everyone it's not batman who dies the man said excuse me Mr Owens not Wayne and you are a cop
I thought this was Batman not murder simu... oh nevermind
Noooooo joker!!!!! Why!!!!! He's literally my favorite villain and I don't care what ppl think.
Isn't it great? :)
That he died?! No! I actually enjoyed all the batman games that had the joker as the main bad guy. Sure it gets too repetitive, but I still love the joker. I can never get tired of him.

Why did he have to get burned? Why wouldn't they bury him. It breaks my heart to see the clown Prince of crime go out like this
lol only you at 2:28
So I was right, batman does fall. Well it was only a matter if time. And either way I would have been right. Goddammit
Game of the year, maybe metal gear solid can compete with this game, but other than that this is a series at its upmost peak level, it's prime.
