They’re not polytunnels in the basement they’re cold frames. We use them to harden off seedlings before planting them outside. Suggest you see is there a local coppicer where you can get local charcoal if you’re insistent on using wood from the forest. Worth installing solar panels, investing in insulation, and heat pump along with grey water harvesting and storage rather than biomass burner. Far more eco friendly long term n
I seriously love british venacular like i think in the US we say right? but you guys say, isnt it? or when Dave turns the bath water on and instead of answering if its getting hotter its just, oye! than alfie tests it, says oye, then louis, oye, its hilarious
It's so adorable that they think that "a third of a mile into the trees" is remote, but then again, England is the most densely populated country in Europe.
That would be ideal place to swithch off for a while. I've dreamt about a little place in the trees...secluded...fire place..neighbours down the road. Paradise. I love the diversity of your group..so cool to see you guys individual talents coming together...thats what its all about. Good luck Dave.
You may find the Raeburn was converted to take gas canisters, to make it easier for an elderly occupant. Check as it may be possible to convert it back. If not sell it, they are a very wanted commodity, and use the cash to develop the system you want. It's absolutely lovely, by the way. I am very envious.
Damn people are negative. I like that Dave has the initiative to make his ideas happen & actively try to learn. So many salty keyboard warriors who probably don't even have any big dreams. Smh.
Oh my - WONDERFUL. I have seen Dave before in the VLOGS but did not know that he had a channel! Thank you Louis for turning me onto him. He now has a new subscriber and I have a back catalogue to watch (Isn't Dave the nicest guy) x Love Micha
You can get a solid fuel Rayburn, we had one that burned peat and coal. They can be fitted with a back boiler for radiators, but they wont do loads. Great for keeping your tea warm and drying socks.
Also, it's not even just an English thing. My parent's house in Southern California *Also* has carpeting in their bathroom, as did my Aunt and Uncle's house near Phoenix, Arizona. Common denominator in both is that they're both older homes, built in the 80's to early 90's I believe. So I think it's just a thing that could be common in older homes too, or ones that were redecorated / remodeled in that time-frame?
This vlog was awesome as always!!! Louis's lifestyle inspires me to work even harder on my content, to know that one day I will inspire the world just as he does and put smiles on everyone's faces. Thanks so much Louis for always spreading happiness and positivity. And thanks for always inspiring!
Louis when are you going to start you project with community living?? I am really interested in being a part of that!!! You are my inspiration to keep vlogging!!
Natural gas isn't that a renewable resource? One of the reasons the ceilings are so low is that it's cheaper to heat that way. Heat rises so if your ceilings are low there is less space to heat and thus saves on heating. So is Dave just leaving those huts and all that stuff in the woods?
Can someone please explain to me why Luke Korns' travel vlogs get 10 times the viewing figures that Louis gets for his vlogs. They are both of a high standard of filming and content, so why the viewing figures discrepancy. Honest answers appreciated please!

Dave sounds identical to jamie oliver
They look alike too.

What an exciting project!!
Ellie Does Life Ooo yes lol x.
CONGRATS DAVE!!
Excited to see how the house comes along
It's so adorable that they think that "a third of a mile into the trees" is remote, but then again, England is the most densely populated country in Europe.
technically that's Monaco, but yeah it's densely populated especially the south east
Dave could have a raging party out there
Actually love Dave. Top quality guy
I like Andy, he's cute! I hope Dave finds someone to share that life with, he's seem like such a sweet guy.
That would be ideal place to swithch off for a while. I've dreamt about a little place in the trees...secluded...fire place..neighbours down the road. Paradise.

4:48 Dave fitting the room exactly is like the carpet fitting in the film Howards End! it was meant to be. ☯

Damn people are negative. I like that Dave has the initiative to make his ideas happen & actively try to learn. So many salty keyboard warriors who probably don't even have any big dreams. Smh.

Love these classic Louis vlogs 👌🏼
Soooo cool!!! Dave should make the house an Icelandic design, huge windows for natural light, wood, feels right, lovely place, loved it
Oh my - WONDERFUL. I have seen Dave before in the VLOGS but did not know that he had a channel! Thank you Louis for turning me onto him. He now has a new subscriber and I have a back catalogue to watch (Isn't Dave the nicest guy) x Love Micha
The furniture in house look fricking amazing... love it
Always with the hot tub, Louis! LOL.

Why is there carpet in the in bathroom?
Danielle McAllister quite common in England, cold houses need carpets for warmth, especially because the house doesn’t look like it has double glazing
Also, it's not even just an English thing. My parent's house in Southern California *Also* has carpeting in their bathroom, as did my Aunt and Uncle's house near Phoenix, Arizona. yeah modern British homes wouldn't have carpet in the bathrooms, it's an old-fashioned thing now. It's really unhygienic!
It's a British thing apparently. It's really weird.
its an old fashioned British thing. No modern decorated places have them now.
I love Dave :)
Bruce Butterfield I want to send Dave on raft down the river 😋 one way
This vlog was awesome as always!!! Louis's lifestyle inspires me to work even harder on my content, to know that one day I will inspire the world just as he does and put smiles on everyone's faces. Thanks so much Louis for always spreading happiness and positivity. And thanks for always inspiring!

Dave sounds exactly like Jamie Oliver.
Dat Cat his evil twin
I love Dave so much. He’s just the best!
Anyone think of when Alfie was obsessed with courgettes when Dave said "Just courgettes for deyes(days) x
Dave you should be look into using biogas. That could work for your heater.
4:20 oi nah that piano is basically fine
Congrats Dave!! Cant wait to see this amazing future eco friendly house! Keep it up guys!
Appears to have HUGE POTENTIAL !
I think it would be amazing if Dave got copies of the pictures of the house to keep w/ the house as part of it's history!
That cottage is the bombdiggity!
Hi Louis can you tell Dave you can get some of those aga type things converted !
I love dave, he has such a great energy about him haha i'd love to meet him one day

The middle class Tory house
Tom Wilson they are defo middle class lol.
Dave, Luis and Alfie in one Vlog! You guys should hang out more! Dave bro, what a lovely house
I know a farmer who lives very nearby who creates gas from biomass so you could keep the original system.
Natural gas isn't that a renewable resource? One of the reasons the ceilings are so low is that it's cheaper to heat that way. Heat rises so if your ceilings are low there is less space to heat and thus saves on heating.
So is Dave just leaving those huts and all that stuff in the woods?
piperlynne1 never knew that interesting
piperlynne1 it’s LPG not natural gas.
doesn't sound like it.
more like this is an extension of the huts
A third of a mile into the trees? not exactly Robinson Crusoe, Dave.
Dave is just sweet!!!
Dave looks like the house is made for him.
So does he own the house?
Em Moore I think he's renting it from Brenda for a while.
I wouldn't buy that house but that's my opinion and I think it would be difficult to sell it as it's miles in to the country
legend27 lots of british people like country living
Love the U.K. Vlogs
yay dave!! haha that awesome
Matt Damon
beautiful house !!!!!
Just made me want a cottage
Awesome place! Congrats Dave!!! :)
Love how you couldn’t fit in his living room 😅😂🤣
So cool Dave!
OMG, such a strange house. LIKEERER FOR LOUIS
Dream house...
Perfect Dave !
Why don't you wait to publish the video when the quality is good enough?? Right now is 360p...
Can someone please explain to me why Luke Korns' travel vlogs get 10 times the viewing figures that Louis gets for his vlogs. They are both of a high standard of filming and content, so why the viewing figures discrepancy. Honest answers appreciated please!
10:24 btw, you haven't lost or destroyed your phone for a very long time. :)
Great video
Great project but a pallet heating system is actually not as sustainable as many people think! You should do more research!
Hey!!! Love your vlogs!!! Keep them up!!! 👍😀
Would make a nice little Hemp farm ;-)
Are you tall or is the ceiling very low?
So exiting!
So beautiful
What happened to his tiny house?
Did he sell the hut and buy the house with the money?
Please watch video of Jim Nduruchi called Andrew re Jigger Victims in Kenya
7:10 - why are the radiators not by the windows?
Miss JP
It's an odd feeling/thought to know someone's face and have watched a great portion of their life but not actually know them.
looks haunted
Dave, you can get electric aga's
What happend to the huts and all?
Oh my gawd i like the house but its sooo small but awesomw place though:)
Did he bought the house or renting?
