5 day early access for a game from a studio known for their bugs. I know Xbox has said they have nearly everyone QA tester working on this title, plus they have one less platform to bug test but I'm not paying extra to play a game before a day 1 patch.

It looked really good, except for the '+exp' alert that was appearing in the centre of the screen all the time

I love Bethesda, and have spent thousands of hours in their gameworlds, but something about Starfield doesn't sit right with me.
I think it's mainly the quests/storyline. We've seen barely anything, and from what we can seem to gather from the trailers, most of the quests we've seen are just "go here and kill this/these monsters/bad people." You can have over 1,000 planets, but if all you play is the same Skyrim quest - go here, kill thing, retrieve object - then it doesn't matter how many worlds you build.
You say they're master storytellers - I can't possibly agree. They're not great at storytelling, and even worse at writing companion characters. They're expert worldbuilders, and their games are brilliant fun to explore, but if it's just one thousand worlds of the same thing with a different colour/different gravity then what does it matter? I think they may have made a mistake with going too big, and forgetting it's their hand-crafted worlds which have made them so famous.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope it's GOTY. I hope everyone loves it and I get to explore all these worlds, finding the best view to start my colony, enjoying the diverse characters and creations. But right now I'm really not convinced.

This video should be included in the inevitable next “Sweet Little Lies” takedown.
    Looking forward to it.

No way. It's like hiding dragonborn shouts behind 20 hours of questing. My bet is the first or second major main plot quest will give you a power.

In all the trailers and Images I have seen so far, Starfield planets are way too empty. Diffrent terrain yes, ruins/buildinds yes but people or creatures of any kind not so much.
Loading screen for transition between Space and Planet is a big disappointment.

What they did show of the story looks generic AF. Space cowboys really? I hope they stick the landing but everything they have showed so far makes me really worried they don't get why people like games like Skyrim.

30 fps is only if you play on console and for a game like this if you don’t play pc your doing it wrong

From every trailer we’ve seen, it’s all just humans it seems like. I didn’t see any other intelligent alien species anywhere…obviously there are alien creatures, but no humanoid species at all? I get it, intelligent life is probably extremely rare in our real life universe, so maybe they’re going the realism route? Just seemed a bit odd to me…there is one single race that colonized 1,000 planets in this fictional universe?
