FUN from Studio Underd0g Desert Sky (Gen2)

There are a log of watch brands that take themselves far too seriously. Studio Underd0g is the antithesis of those brands. The UK based microbrand broke on to the scene a few years back, with Richard, Rich and Ricky (might be same person) working hard to release a selection of chronographs, most of which are fruit/vegetable themed, such as now the famous watermel0n. This Desert Sky variant is one of the more subdued versions, but also feels like a great summer colour combination.
The watch case is simple but good looking. 38.5mm in diameter, and a 44.5mm lug-to-lug. It has a 13.6mm case height to a box double domed sapphire crystal. There is a flat sapphire crystal on the back of the case, housing the Seagull ST-1901 - a budget but reliable Chinese made manually wound movement. It runs at 3Hz and has a power reserve of 50 hours when the chronograph is not running, and 45 hours when it is.
The dial though is the star of the show, with the bi-compax layout, where the chronograph sub-dial is separated by the sand colour and larger display, is visually very effective. The fume light to lighter blue captures the sky effect very well. And there is a counter-sunk tachymeter around the outside.
It's also worth mentioning the really nicely paired epsom calfskin strap which is supplied The Strap Tailor - a fellow British independent firm.

Pretty well, no issues at all. I'm not wearing it often, but I can't complain. And importantly, I know the owner Richard is a stand-up guy in case something does go wrong.

Interested in watch, but the music was an annoyance. Loud. Turned the sound down, still loud. The watch should be taking front-and-center view, not your choice in music. Stopped watching half way, not worth it.
