@hard2findjewel640 I use fenugreek seeds, rosemary leaves, aloe vera to help feed my hair. Sometimes I may add a banana or avocado with honey . It depends on what treatment I may need. Henna, honey, coffee, saw palmetto, moringa, green tea, horse tail, hibiscus, slippery elm, oatmeal or rice .. the list is endless. I either add to an existing conditioner or create one, strain through muslin to avoid small particles in my hair. Apply with gloves then use a steam cap for 40 minutes, rinse then dry & style as usual.
I started with diy Ayurveda- I amplified the results and decided to offer ot for busy professionals so they don’t have to spend time prepping and can just start using it. I am a DIYer. Your channel has helped me tremendously in stepping up cheap products. I am not in the US and products for curly natties are way more than I can afford. So I have to step up whatever I can afford. And I am quite good at that with your help
I believe there are some conditioners that are great for the scalp, like the conditioners in the Melanin hair care line. Those ingredients are amazing and will nourish the hair follicles.

I am currently loving Melanin Haircare Plumping Deep Conditioner and for more of a protein boost, I recently tried S-Secrets Renew and Restore Treatment Masque.
TY for sharing and for the inquiry. My favorite balanced conditioner is Camille Rose Algae Renew. I'll often apply it to my ends when I opt for a strictly moisturizing conditioner for the shaft of my hair (based on the status of my hair strands). My go-to proftein free conditioner is Mielle mongongo oil protein-free hydrating conditioner. I also really like Eden Body Works Lavender Aloe deep conditioner with heat on my low porosity, fine strands, medium density, all natural healthy coils. Be well.
So far, my hair is madly in love with Miche Sweet Pumpkin Spice deep conditioner. I find that alternating conditioners does seem to help. My hair also likes TGIN Honey Miracle Hair mask and Camille Rose algae renew.
TGIN Honey Miracle Hair Mask, Camille Rose Algae Renew, and Alikay Naturals Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner. I also use The Mane Choice Tropical Moringa 3-in-1 as a rinse out conditioner as well as the mask from the same line.
Hawaiana Silky 14:1 Moisture Repair masque. It has shea butter, and I cover with a plastic cap, let it sit for about 15-30mins. I also, use DE line interchangeably.
I LOVE the idea of shower mask & the steam!! I think im going to get my partner to take before and after pictures of my hair...i love Philip Kingsley xx
I go back and forth between Aussie moisture Max and Donna's recipe. I used Donna's recipe for right after I shampoo, but if I need moisture throughout the week I'll go ahead and throw in some awesome moisture conditioner let it sit and then rinse out.
At the moment my favorite conditioner is Melanin Haircare. Next winner ups are SheScentIt (can't go wrong with none of their conditioners) and Quemet Biologics ♥️
I've just started using oleic acid & it is a game changer 💝 I always use a shower cap...so use ACV after shampooing & before conditioning? 🤔 I get it! At the moment it's TGIN Rose collection, but I love Carol's daughter aloe vera shampoo & conditioner!
I like Mielle Conditioner, but also use, Nexus and Tresemme . I will start adding the one Table spoon of Olive Oil in my conditioner for Nexus and Tresemme conditioner! Not Needed for Mielle Conditioners!
My fave conditioner is the gabriel cosmetics clean kids banana conditioner. I use it after deep conditioner and actually keep it in my hair as the slip and moisture it gives is top tier! Ill usually mix it with my fave oil or apply oil right on top of it.
I just going to start dealing wit my hair since I just making a fresh start because I totally neglected my hair for years, hope I can recruit back what I had. But I but my hair oil in the grocery dept like extra virgin oil, coconut oil, grape seed oil, etc. I can get it in mass quantity that way and I will still be using this when I finally revert my hair back.
Innersense color radiance daily conditioner. I don’t have coloured nor chemically treated hair but the slip and extra moisture makes my washing session a breath. And my hair stays soft and moisturised longer. Pricey but long lasting .You don’t need load as it start foaming when you add water. For Deep conditioner I want to try melanin haircare once I’m done with my Shea moisture batch 🤭
I have 2 that I alternate between and it's the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil deep conditioner and the Melanin Plumping deep conditioner. I add my DIY herb oil to both!! My go twos lol
Its a 10 miracle mask and Kenra moisturizing masque are game changers for me. I also use Creme of Nature Argan Oil and butter blend conditioners. I may use more than at a time and certainly alternate throughout the month.
Renpure Thickening Conditioner, Queen Helene Cholesterol, Silk elements Cholesterol and any of their treatments, Creme of nature Intensive Treatment for protein and moisture. I alternate between my Silk Elements collection and add oils to all of my conditioners.
Nexxus Humectress has been my long-term favorite conditioner. It does have protein in it but I have never experienced p-overload with it. It's packed full of ingredients that are heavy-hitters for my dry, porous, 3c hair: Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Caviar Extract, Behentrimonium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), Dipropylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Amodimethicone, Trehalose, Gluconolactone, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Potassium Chloride, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA, PEG-7 Propylheptyl Ether, Cetrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Actin, Adipic Acid, Sodium Sulfate, Hydrolyzed Roe, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone
Can i ask, if i use caffeine shampoo, will that help growth? I am using Batana in solid form and also use the Batana conditioner, i take ginseng and multivitamins..Thank you i love your Chanel! Love from Lisa in Ireland ☘️
Can you please make a video for people who are struggling badly with growing their edges for years to what they use. That's would be gladly appreciated.
Hey Curly Chemist Queen. Perfect timing, just getting ready to shampoo my hair. Also just sent a nice parcel, to my daughter at university, with shampoo, conditioner, and sealing oil. I told her that I did a lot of research and checking with the curly Chemist😊 Thanks for the shower cap advice. Question is it OK to mix shampoo and conditioner brands, within one washing? Thanks!!!
Do you have any recommendations for seniors? I have medium type hair, long, and wavy. Since going through menopause I have experienced dryness, sometimes breakage and flyaways. I have tried everything and spent a lot of money on different hair products. I even went to a dermatologist. It's hard to find products that will keep my hair moist. I definitely need a daily moisturizer that will prevent my hair from drying. I have tried a few and they don't seem to work. My hair is not fully gray, however the gray hair seems to dominate all of my hair. I don't wear my hair out, because hair Gels seem to dry my hair more no matter how many different ones I've tried. Do you have any suggestions?
Hello. Great info here and I thank God for you and ALL of your great tips. I wanted to ask if it’s ok to mix some olive oil with my conditioner without doing it wash day? You mentioned doing this in a bowl. I don’t want water to get in products and wanted to know if it’s safe to just add some olive oil to my conditioner?
Hi, can u give advice on what temperature water to use when rinsing out conditioner? In the salon they rinse out conditioner with cool water, but is that good? Thanks❤
Hi CC, thank you for this video. Honestly I haven't yet found a conditioner I'm absolutely in love with. I'm still working on that. Lol I have three questions - can you use an ACV rinse as a prepoo OR should you do an ACV rinse before or after you condition your hair as the last step? When is it best to do hot oil treatment before or after wash/condition? I keep my HP hair in protective style 4-6wks, allow it to rest and treat for 1/2wks before doing protective style again. Thanks! PS - If you consider these consultation questions please let me. Thanks so much. ❤
