One siege of Harlech castle that wasn't mentioned was the siege of the winter of 1408-1409.The English used cannon to capture the castle that had been held since 1404 by Owain Glyndwr the last Welsh prince of Wales. The castle eventually surrendered - but Owain Glyndwr was never captured.....
They didn't use boiling oil! If they did then it was an incredibly desperate circumstance and they had literally nothing left. Hot sand, feces, rocks, boiling water, throwing spears, and arrows were all more likely to be used than boiling oil - a precious resource.
Wait let me get this straight.. you made a video about Welsh Castles and decided to only mention 3 of them?.. Wales has the highest castle density of any country in Europe with over 600 built and 100 still standing today, could have mentioned that at least

Conwy was one of the first castles I went to in Wales & it’s still one of my favourites!
I hope to visit some of these fantastic Welsh castles in the future.
this voice is the closest to Sir David Atteborough that I`ve ever heard
Sounds nothing like him
Caerphilly Castle has a tower that leans more than the one at Pizza. Well worth a look, as are all the others in the Principality
Come stay when covid is over and visit them, its glorious! ❤️

In others words, yes, they used boiling oil.

It was not English control , it was Norman , the English were also dominated by the Norman's.

If only I had proper subjects I too would have a castle

Hi! How are you?
_ It's a new week again from yesterday. I hope this week will be a healthier/fierce day. ^O^
This video did not in any way answer the question posed by the title.
@ 2:27 I can barely believe they gave permission for such an eyesore as this metal bridge connecting Conway Castle.
Why focus just on North Wales, there are castles all over the country.
Because that's where the big famous ones are I guess

Please, tell us more about english Castles!!!! 🏰🏰🏰🏰🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I don’t get the concept of Wales. Innit just England but with longer names
You dont get the concept of countries ?
@@MsPinkwolf Wales and England aren't countries. But the United Kingdom is.
@@JJaqn05 "The U.K., as it is called, is a sovereign state that consists of four individual countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland."
@@MsPinkwolf Its complicated. They are not countries because they are not independent and do not rule over themselves. The UK is a country
@@JJaqn05 lol. It really isnt. I was born in the UK and have lived here all my life. I don't know why you're trying to tell me I'm wrong.
