@9:40 "Al-Fallah" is the name of the restaurant not the sandwich, the sandwich is called "kebda" which means liver, also there is a difference between "hummus" and "tahini" in Egypt we use "tahini" which is made of sesame seeds, while "hummus" is usually eaten in levantine countries and is made of chickpeas, they may look alike but they are totally different in taste
Great video Matt and Molly. Off to Sharm in December so nice to see some different cities in Egypt. 😎 Alexandria was also a very important city in Ancient Greece when under Greek rule and alot of people in Alexandria have Greek blood! 🇬🇷
Don´t say you are not the smartest. You do appear very bright to me. Although I have always loved books, I do admit that I did only fully understand what they were really all about when I aquired enough live experience to understand what kind of questions they helped me to answer. Once you want to process all the impressions you gathered from travelling the world, maybe you will appreciate books more. No need to rush, things will come when their time is right!
Hi Matt and Molly, Hope you made good use of time on those long bus rides. Harriet and I spent time in Alexandria . Given the fact we had limited time as well. He was wonderful in taking us to all the points of interest, making the most of our time throughout the time we were there. We did enjoy our liver sandwiches, Where else on Liver Street. Great Video Guys ! from Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va. 🙏🙏
Alexandria in winter is better than Summer . spicy spicy forever in Manshia * my favorite place to walk with my family & best memories ❤ I made many videos there at my Chanel for youtube . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I adore old Alexandria my love my dear .
The "cornich"? It is actually pronounced kor-neesh, from the French word corniche. The French were once massively influential along the Medi, thus you will find a corniche in Beirut, Algiers, and so on. It has been renamed, in Alex, Shari el Geish, or the road of the army. Crossing it today is an event, unlike how it used to be when I was boy, summering in our family villa (now destroyed) in Sidi Gaber, in that once grand city, when everyting Iskindriya was still beautiful. *soupir*
4:40 Battle of El Alamein was a turning point in the North Africa campaign. The battle was fought on the western frontier of Egypt between the British and Allied forces (commonwealth mostly) under the command of Field Marshal Montgomery and the Axis forces led by FM Rommel. The famous battel was dramatized into a movie in 1969 which I saw when I was a kid.
Hi guys,I can't believe it was a nine hour round trip, you both are so dedicated to your job that's why I watch you, such a great video, peacock poo on your finger so funny, room looks so nice, have a great day X
Hello I'm from Alexandria sadly you came in a rainy day PS: it haven't rained in over a month now 😊so you were here probably in Feb. How come you came and never tried the famous sea food! also there are a lot more to see in Alexandria than what you visited but its hard to see all in one day. Also the microbus is much faster between Cairo and Alex take less than 3 hours more like 2 only
How much would u rate out of 10? There was such a nice places you've missed which were called "Fouad street" there is nice arctexture clean streets and the greeko-romanic museum also missed the romanic theater
The coolest thing about the Library of Alexandra was that it housed a 100k books, or rather scrolls that if put together would create 100k books. Sad that so much knowledge was lost.
Al Falah is the most popular liver place in Egypt specially Alexandria and few years ago the liver was much better from now.. i think now they use imported liver .. before the used local liver which is much much better and of course more expensive
Again great video. Indeed you can could explore more in Alexandria for instance Montaza or the ancient catacombs. By the way if you are in Heliopolis you could visit the area around Roxi/Korba
Is the Go Bus the best way to get from Cairo to Alexandria or Cairo to Port Said? It says it should only take 2.5 hours but you said it took 4-5 hours.
@Dabble and Travel Is the city less busy on the weekends? I'll be traveling on a Saturday from Cairo to Port Said. Do you think the go bus is the best option?
@Leo Wagstaff Actually most american cities are less busy on the weekend because everyone isn't going into the city to work, also much less traffic going into the city on the weekend.

Both pronunciations are correct. Americans tend to pronounce it as CorNICHE or neesh. In British Eng however the stress is on the first syllable CORniche like in Cornish, from Cornwall etc. But I agree CorNEESH sounds "original" and perhaps even sexier as they pronounce it in French 😂
@@andybaker2456 Right. In Arabic they pronounce it as you said like in French. That's probably coz it entered their vocabulary thru French not English. Everywhere it's pronounced differently. In Italian is Cornice (Corneeche) but in Spanish Cornisa. Linguistics is a fascinating subject, one can talk about forever.
We love that you laid hands on a piece of the alexandria library, your second ancient wonder. That's so awesome!

To be honest it took so long because getting out of cairo takes forever. Also buses generally take longer than suggested
