Check out Zhou Yi Wei in the Rebel Princess. I'm over 60 in the US, too. I really appreciate the more mature actors who still have that appeal. They really know how to draw you into the emotions on the screen.
I think Liu Yuning is way much better looking than those actors portayed as handsome. he is not girlishly handsome ( according seemingly to the immature taste of chinese fans ) but he has undeniably a beauty and an attractiveness of his own . He has a charismatic presence and he is a very good actor . Do not forget that beauty is in the eye of the beholder .
I loved Luo Yunxi’s Machiavellian Run Yu. But his interpretation of Lord Pu Chi (Snake immortal) disguised as Run Yu was simply genius! Luo Yunxi is a great actor. I hope he’s healthy and happy and will give us many more amazing roles in the future ❤❤❤

Luo Yunxi's Runyu is really one of the most memorable second leads with such a complex character. And the worst second lead syndrome to me was given by Xiao Zhan's Moran in Oh my emperor.
Tan Jianci developed that smoldering look during his Latin dance ballroom days. It sets the mood for the dance. Works perfectly in these dramas. Liu Yuning was also second lead in Legend of Anle, and did very well there. I love that he is more mature and has a distinctive look. Doesn't blend in with all the others. I loved Xiao Zhan's look in the first part of The Wolf. As the wanderer bounty hunter, he was rustic, with 5 o'clock shadow. Looked AMAZING. Luo Yunxi also was quite memorable in Princess Silver. Another tragic character.

Luo Yun Xi has not had supporting role since before Ashes of Love (2018]. Lui Yu Ning, now you're talking main lead material. He comes across as sweet and very appealing, his musical talent is phenomenal. Like Luo Yun Xi, Xiao Zhang is not my cup of tea, enough said. Wei Zheming is a totally unknown to me, so no comment.

I am a fan of Wuxia/Xanxia dramas. The second lead usually is a more interesting character than the perfect angel like first lead. Sometimes a not that bad demon, sometimes the comedy relief character, etc. Being the antihero in love is so much more interesting in feelings than the hero in love. And as we connect to the actors thru feelings, not only visuals. That is why I alllwwwayyys have second lead syndrome. ( It also happens to me with kdramas )

Ashes of Love doesn't appeal to me at all, which is a shame because the character of Runyu was really very interesting: tragic, complex and so well played, he is the whole point of this drama. After knowing Runyu, I became a fan of Luo Yunxi because he is an incredible actor, with many complex and sad roles, and he is very good at stunts and fight scenes.
