I’m actually planning to this route in the next few months, after buying an interrail pass while it was on sale (thanks to your heads up! 🙌🏼) Buzzing that you’ve released this, will definitely look into a private compartment. Also good to know that there’s still lots of snow in March ☃️
Loved this video! So great you got a private cabin, looked soo cosy. I just got the Santa Claus Express Helsinki to Rovaniemi, but decided to go budget and book a "private seated compartment" instead of a sleeper. Wouldn't recommend 😂 the train was awesome though and I'd have loved it in a sleeper! Northern Europe in winter is so magic 😍
Really enjoyed this. Sweden is a wonderful place to explore. Nattåget Norrland for £64 is a bargain. When I was a wild feral youth, a seat or couchette would've been fine, but am old now and need every bit of comfort I can afford.
I won't lie, I absolutely loved the couchette and the community it builds for your trip if you're on your own! The women in mine ended up being in the same hostel and we hung out for the next couple of days. Would deffo be my preference travelling there again!

Nice video! It will be the same trains and roughly the same price levels with SJ as the operator 😊. The night train route Stockholm - Luleå/Narvik is procured by the swedish state and the locos and wagons used in the trains are rented to the operator from the Swedish Transport Administration
Thank you for the info!! I thought they would be the same trains too but when I checked SJ, they offered no seat options across the many, many dates I checked and so it really confused me... Especially as I've been on an SJ overnight train that was just that - no seats but couchettes and private compartments!! Here's hoping there's no big change as it was a lovely train!
As an old fart im sat here with two kids crawling over me issuing demands. I always say to young people before you do anything stupid like settling down and having kids go travelling. See the world. It will make you a better person and you'll never regret it. Great video as always.
