Wow, watching how hard teachers are trying to prepare for our classes make me feel weird lol.

Great ideas and I agree trying to minimize homework is a goal since most of our students do a full day of a school and have extracurricular activities and or jobs. I’m going to start building in time for students to not just discuss questions but to hand write a summary

Active recall is also incredibly useful, I believe

These are really great ideas to make connections.
Is there a specific technique to do these summaries?

Hi Steve, just curious do you assign the notecards for reading the text? After you lecture? (If you lecture)

I hate being in a lecture with 200 other people. I wish everyone but a select few including myself would drop out so I can essentially have the professors all to myself. Like, okay, tell me about Emperor Justinian and Roman Law, just let me participate so I don't fall asleep.

Just to be clear. This is getting better grades, not studying for learning.
