I purchased one in April of 1984!
I was 23 years old, I am now 60 and still have it in my garage. Hasn't started in a while but it looks in mint condition. 13,000 original miles . Topped it out at over 150 mph many times.
I owned an '85, was an absolute blast. I'm close to your age,but sadly let it go. Keep the classics alive!👍
Had the 85 bought it as a leftover in 87 still my all time favorite bike. God I miss that bike!
Had the red, white and blue 1986 version. Awesome machine Back then. Really woke up with tooth down on the front sprocket, jet kit and full header.
thank you for sharing the detailed history and information on the bike
Man the Japanese have the bike game on lockdown.
Really nice antique this video made me screen shot
I have owned 3, they still look good to this day.
nice bike , number plate 'ride safe' so wears shorts and t shirts
That’s my kind of bike. My last sport bike was a 85 gpz 750.
Top gun Maverick
First seen this bike on Top Gun I was only a kid and I drooled thought it was so cool
Top Gun, was sure it looked like my nearly new Kawa.750 turbo, Hey ho.
That sure would look good in my collection.
verry cool piece of Art
Yes awesome machine. 80's sport motorbike are very stylished and beautiful
'84 my nearly new Kawasaki 750 turbo, heard first production bike any size, to do the Standing quarter mile in 10 seconds, mine did 161 mph.. Much rather be doing 80 mph, in 2nd. gear, on my late beloved 05 Bandit GSF 650 inj.
Yes classic what a beast
That's well mint 🤟👍
A dream bike. 🤌
Sound smooth! Smoother than a fanny! 🤣
👊✊💨💨💨👌
the first stock road bike to reach 150 mph was back in 1948.... you should always remember that

That's gotta be worth a couple$$ Absolute dime pc.
I had one i went 155 i was 19 years old im old😢
Is there any substance to this GPZ1000R rumor? 2024?
Highway to the danger zone
I had one.
This is a Gpz900r Kawasaki not a suzuki gpz750
忍者!
That's not true my stock 1981 gs650gl Suzuki can get up to 150 mph in 4th gear. The only problem is, once you reach 150 mph you start getting the death wobble. That's fourth gear and it's a 5-speed.
Faulty clocks. 😮

Nah.. it's a cruiser and it has no aerodynamics. At 150 the back tire starts to float in the air. There's a reason that the bullet bike's seats are angled upwards.
Maybe not a complete cure to my Acute BANDITAHOLICISM, but a healthy big GPZ, with d.f.i. fuel inj., ZX10 ?, Yeah..
