This leads to 1983, and William being driven mad by the death of his son at the hands of the his and Henry's creation, and him murdering Charlotte/Charlie because it was unfair that he lost a child and henry didn't when they both made the springlock suit. From there, Afton discovers Remnant, murdera kids, and creates the funtimes to further his research, and it all goes downhill from there. No one is BORN a monster, and the fact that he wasn't doesn't make him less evil, but it does make him a complex character. The best kind. And YES, I know this is a long post and it's 4 months later, but it bothers me that no one understands character progression works on villains too. CC's death was the start of William's Joker arc, effectively.

Most of that is simply an understanding that only psychopaths are born "evil". Even sociopaths are typically made rather than born. I'd argue even psychopaths aren't inherently monsters. a monster ascribes actions. Psychopathy describes mentality.
I did make an au where fnaf sb characters don't get their memories deleted previously on other videos, so they exactly know what's happening on next reaction videos, the reason I deleted the memories so that the fnaf timeline wouldn't get ruined even though I'm using a non canon characters and adding Mrs. Afton that we all know nothing about, but I might just do that if I could.
