Eden and I were honored to be in your video and learned even more than we did at the clinic. While you said that the position in this case is good for her, if Janie and Chimacum Tack decide to modify the collar at all I'm in for a new one!
We did a video using weigh scales to show that there is no such thing as an adjustable line of draft on a breast plate harness, and how much down-pull weight goes onto the top of the neck when that is done, which it so commonly is. The data in this video is a good addition to issues regarding some styles of breast plates.
First off Thank you for all the priceless information and instruction videos! so glad I found your Channel. Second where can we get the harness and cart in 29" to 39" or Miniature Horse Size? can you give us a link to go to?
Very interesting! I’m not a new driver but I’m not an authority on it either. I’m always learning new things and this is one of those new things. I can absolutely see where this collar is too long and the excess end part is completely unnecessary. The aesthetics of the collar is what is very distracting I find. It looks like it’s very functional but in truth it isn’t. The science of draft is intriguing.
Hi Andy! Several customers have sent us your vlog link over time and we love all your videos! We were especially excited to see your recent video one our favorites, the comfy fit deluxe breast collar! If you'd be open to it, Janie would love to chat with you about the improvements you recommend here. Fit and physics are something we talk about with customers regularly: Achieving "good" fit, point of draft, etc. It's also something we can adjust; a lot of the harness we sell is custom / made to measure. We will be sharing your video with the manufacturer, and always welcome the chance to talk about improving the engineering of our harness. Feel free to reach out: 360-301-1317 or info@chimacumtack.com
what a great reply from Chimacum Tack. A friend, Jules, from here in Australia loves Chimacum Tack. I wish Zilco were so open to receiving opportunities to improve a product as Chimacum Tack are.
