    Convert stories are THE best!!

    • @2converts
      @2converts 3 месяца назад +3

      We think conversion stories from people who were born in the Church are underrated. Our conversion stories may be more dramatic/unusual, but all of us need to go through the same conversion process - even if it's quiet and from inside a covenant home. -Rusty

    This episode shows your nack for interesting content for your targeted viewers Steven. Good job.
    To Rusty and Jason, even though I grew up in the church, I also had to build my testimony block by block, and now there is nothing Joseph Smith taught in thr D&C that I cannot prove is true. You might think that is a lofty claim, and my response to that is see if you can stump me.

    The church does not teach that as you describe it. Don’t loose something so precious from a misunderstanding. The church is true don’t loose it. You are a son of God and he loves you.

    Alma war chapters... Don't overlook the current climate of warfare in our political sphere. It is becoming glaring. Pay attention to the battle between Captain Moroni Trump and Kamalickiah Harris. (Apologies for the insult to Amalickiah's intelligence)

    I am gonna have to check these guys out. Love their spirit for truth, love that they love the BoM. Being a member of the Corp LDS church, cringe.

    • @rconger24
      @rconger24 3 месяца назад +1

      Why do you "cringe?"
      Our Brethren saw wisdom in this modern era to legally protect The Church in a corporation. This allows the church to be brought out of obscurity as a laboring woman bears a man-child without it being immediately devoured by the dragon. Revelation 12: 1-6
      *_Regarding Corporation_*
      My Opinion:
      I have in my career worked for two mega corporations. Boeing and GE. Each one had hundreds of thousands of employees.
      I maintain a distinction in my mind between ecclesiastical and corporate perspectives on leadership.
      And so in my view I see the corporation as a necessary vehicle to help more people in the world to *_see the fruits_* of The Restoration.
      The Corporation gives a legally defensible position against the "day and night" (Revelation 12: 10,11) attacks our Brethren endure as they continually bear special witness for The Savior.
      The Corporation makes The Church able to work from a position of strength as Our Brethren dispense over $1B / year for third-world poverty and global disaster relief. (It was $1.3 B last year.) I am grateful to see my tithes used this way!
      The Corporation is the face of The Church whenever the self appointed pharisees in the press believe they have yet another petty grievance to attempt a distraction of eyes against the special mission those commissioned Twelve Brethren have to preach the gospel to all the earth. They have used every conceivable subject to attempt this distraction.
      The Corporation is a springboard for the bare Arm of The Lord to be revealed keeping the doors open to the nations.
      Without the corporation The Church's influence and ability to move about doing good in the world would be hardly a shadow of what it is now as it comes "out of obscurity."
      With the corporation, progress can be made giving the 17 million of The Church a 500x multiplier "out of obscurity" to progress, albeit slowly, into the 8.5 Billion souls across the earth. (When I was young it was 1000x.)
      If corporations are evil, (and ours by any measurable standard is uncharacteristically good ) than it is a _necessary_ evil.
      Now ecclesiastical is the peg I hang my faith-hat on. The corporate keeps the wyley ways of evil out of my hair so I *_can_* have space to even hang my faith-hat.
      I find myself reminded of Jesus' words in John 6 :68 ".. *_to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life_* ."
      Just my own opinion.
      Hosannahs and blessings to you!

    I am a Jew and was a Mormon for a time. I even served as a missionary. I had great spiritual experiences there. I left due to them saying that I couldn't have the spirit with me because of my sins. It isn't true. G-d, Jesus and the Holy Ghost can connect with us at anytime if we are open to it. As a result of that, I left the church.

    • @bambie1830
      @bambie1830 3 месяца назад +5

      I grew up in the church, for my understanding was the spirit can’t dwell in unclean places but because of the atonement we are justified thru Christ, example in the sacrament prayers that we may have His sprit to to be with us. Even though I am not a literal believer I still feel close to Christ. God bless

      Check out One For Israel : they can lead you to the Jewish Messiah, Jesus.
      God will send you the Holy Spirit when you repent and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. NO church has that authority: Only God does.

      Exactly who told you that???? WHY do you give credence to their OPINIONS???? Since you had spiritual experiences... How could you leave???

    • @PeterNield-k7s

      wow sorry to hear that someone who should have known better completely misquoted doctrine to you. Surely as a returned missionary though you would know where to turn to truth and that is through prayer and study. Clearly the scriptures teach about how the Spirit clearly works through all of us, and to help us to heal and to push passed our sins. The Atonement clearly was for everyone, and we all need to keep having a "spiritual health check" and realign our will with God's will from time to time.

    • @beeg693
      @beeg693 3 месяца назад

      @@PeterNield-k7s I am not sure when you joined the church, so maybe leadership isn't doing that behavior anymore. I am talking mid 1970's through the 1990's. It may have gone on for longer, but I don't recall anymore. I like your idea of spiritual health check. I hope you can assist others to do that. The last LDS church I attended was a Fast and Testimony meeting at a ward in my area in 2020 maybe???. I gave testimony that the spirit can give each of us more warnings and insight if we are just open to the idea. I gave them some examples from my own life. Outside of the usual testimony they don't believe anything else it seems. I therefore think they are spiritually dead out side of two people that got what I was saying. It was very disappointing. I have never been back. Best wishes. Stay close to the spirit. It can guide you if you allow it to.
