Got my last copy of Magnifica from Rarity Collection 2 and due to lacking Zeus, Typhon and Little Knight, I decided to play Light Charmer Lustrous, Utopia, Utopia the Lightning and a spicy take: Quintet Magician Time to take this deck to locals

I'm a returning player (got back 2 weeks ago) and got this deck thanks to Jesse Kotton's video covering it. It's very cheap and looks like it can do quite well on locals at least. What is your opinion on the next months though? I am not that familiar with how all of the current meta/ viable rogue decks work and we will get Ryzeal + Malice soon. I mean, exosister is so cheap that it won't matter much if it's not playable anymore but it wouldn't be a nice feeling of course.
Its definitely playable, I have been doing fine with it myself and will be uploading new profiles soon. As far as beyond locals, the deck has a chance to perform at regionals imo if you are really good with the deck and know match ups well. For a YCS, it is possible but your likelihood of facing fuwalos increasing alot and that card can be a problem.
@DazuTheDevastator Thanks for your response! Regional level at max is fine. For that or higher tier events I'd definitely get Tenpai or play blue eyes when the structure deck gets released in the tcg.
I just bought most of the Exosisters required and the Extra Deck. Still missing a couple like Martha and Dimension shifters. I wanted to play something different since I've been playing Monarch since 2017 and a couple of other decks years later but they didnt stick like my love for Monarchs. :)
Sky Strikers is another great deck choice for someone returning to the game! There are many others I could recommend too depending on what your budget is
@@davilucas00 it affects everywhere. The first part allows you to negate the activated effects anywhere, and the second part can negate them on field if they are already in play.
@davilucas00 hehe yea you can definitely call hand traps. Although you can't negate them in the same chain, like if they nibbed in response to carp. But if you just make an xyz and then call ash or nib, you're good to go.
why forbidden lance over crossout? with crossout you can negate imperm/ash or even set it first turn and negate pot/talents/thrust at your opponents turn.

Did you find yourself wishing you ran Crossout? Since you run Carp at 1, it doesn't come up all the time. I always end up getting Nibbed whilst attempting to climb into Magnifica. Also, on opps turn, if I use Magnifica, they typically Tactics take my Magnifica, which sucks.
I’m curious with carpedivem, by the time you are able to activate the XYZ summon effect on turn one, it’s already 5 monsters summoned, couldn’t they just chain 2 and use nibiru if u searched carpidivem. I assume u just have to be lucky and draw it and have it out
SP doesn't come up very often as the exo extra deck stuff usually kills. The deck doesnt have incredible grind and you often dont have the flexibility to go into non-exo monsters, so don't worry about not having SP.

It really is such a cool deck. The only decks I enjoy more are Salamangreat and Striker

You can go into Exciton blow up the board and then use Martha effect? She locks the entire turn, not just the rest of the turn.

yep that is very true! lance has been useful against eclipse, droplet, and lightning storm so the magnifica can stay around on your opponents turn!

poor exosisters they were such a cool archetype and konami did everything in their power to make it mediocre with useless restrictions
i do wish some of their cards were not so restrictive. but still i have alot of fun with this deck!

Yea! I played forbidden Lance to help with impermanence but also talents and droplet. I will talk about crossout in the next video
The problem is that Talents doesn't care about Lance, right? Your opp can still take Magnifica.@DazuTheDevastator

Typically you search it first on summon 3 with mikailis OR search it with Pax, then you go into the next plays. If you hard draw it even better :)
i want to build the deck too because it looks like so much fun but i must find a other card for s:p because she is a little too expensive
A great alternative to SP is doing an Underworld Goddess!

Biggest difference is not having to worry about maxx c. Otherwise it plays pretty much the same on master duel as it does in tcg

Playing more talents would be the best choice. You can also incorporate some board breakers like droplet or lightning storm.
