Admiral Nakhimov is a Sovetsky/Sovetskaya sister (or at least half-sister since she is a carrier). After the war, the USSR was left with the unfinished Project 23 hulls and they considered converting them into carriers, before the Soviet government rejected the idea and scrapped. Ironic that they didn’t consider them important given one of the biggest tactical lessons of WWII was the importance of carriers.
Since Soyuz already got powercrept by Alsace, I hope she brings her back into contention. Also Kronk, our first gacha CB.
You think we might get Asuka Langley Soryu as a shipgirl in this game? I could see that being a DR German carrier. If Hakuryuu is to Taihou what the Midway Class was to the Essex, I could see this Asuka clone being the same for Peter Strausser.
the Soviet government didn't reject the idea at all, the Nakhimov, or project 23AV was a fictional project made up by WG about a what if Russia actually had a proper naval industry, and what if they ever considered building a carrier at all, even if the design is good in AL even if doesn't fit russia at all considering the other designs, this is not even a paper ship, I would have liked anything else but this is just a wet dream from WG(russian game company) in WOWS and here too, really not happy with this one, it could have been another one

@@parapat9957 Nope, Project 23 was very real and construction of four of the five ships was started before the war. There are even recon photos of Soyuz in her construction drydock in June ‘42. In a way, they are more real than the Montana-class, because those never even so much as had their keels laid down (the very first part of construction).
You’re probably confusing them with the Cold War-era K-1000, rumored to be seven battleships (it’s not clear whether the rumors were started intentionally by the Soviets or inadvertently by western fears), and propagated by Soviet counterintelligence. Despite being a hoax, they were featured in several western journals including Jane’s Fighting Ships. Many of the alleged names were re-used from ships of the authentic, but never completed, Sovetsky Soyuz-class, such as Sovetsky Soyuz and Sovetskaya Byelorussia, so that’s probably where your confusion comes from.
@@theuniversaldisneyian2021 no confusione here, I was referring to the 4 started Co struction that were scrapped after Russia, that at the time had problems even building light cruiser, had a delusional dream of building 4 capitoal ships, the one who got more progress in hardly got to 10% of the hull for technical problems also, they weren't capable at all to build them so I really count them as paper ships, tou can't really count them as real ships, so project 23 was a real project and a ship from that side would have been good, that's where project 23AV comes, in, it never existed and it would have probably never would, WG was caught saying that the 23AV (Nakhimov) was a completely made up farce to give Russia a tier 10 in wows,so yes, Scamkhimov is a fake project build on top of real projects that the russian weren't even capable of doing 10 or even 20 years after the war
As WoWs player or former, she probably wont have double Dive bomber, reason being Chakalov got it because she got Dive bomber, Torpedo bomber and Skip bomber in WoWs. Nakhimov however has the standard loadout meaning Fighter, Torpdedo and Bomber

@@middllepl If you are going to limit to carrier-based aircraft, there would not be a single Soviet aircraft in the game.
I'm a bit disappointed that there's no Royal Navy ship in the PR7 lineup.
I also think that introducing Halford as a research ship isn't a great idea. Halford was a real ship that actually served in the war. All WG did was put some planes on her which never existed. I don't know if that's enough to justify a PR slot.
I'm sure it'll have interesting game mechanics, which is why Manjuu chose her.
The planes existed but were removed before she saw combat.

While jp announced the dr Russian ship the en on the other hand, announced the second dr ship which is a Italian torpedo heavy cruiser.

She is a secondary focused cruiser not torpedo focused
She may have torpedoes. But her main gimmick is a bulletstorm of secondary SAP 90mm and 152mm guns

@@middllepl Nope. Unzen is torps and HE main guns. Napoli is speed, armor, smoke screen and auxiliary/secondary SAP guns
@@MaNaZe21 She might have a loadout similar to the WW2 cruisers (German and Chinese): CA main gun, DD secondary, and Torpedo in the third slot. Do keep in mind that she has a torpedo stat ranked C, the same as her AA stat. That could imply that her secondary or tertiary slot is a floater/flex slot.
I'm glad they're doing DR/UR ships for non main 4 factions this year.
Since we finally got UR backline for side factions I was hoping that was going to be the trend for the rest of the year, I'm happy that seems to be the case. Though I thought this year's DRs were going to be French and Italian

The heavy armor ones are from Operation Siren, but the light armor ones are unfortunately event limited and the event has not been rerun yet. The medium armor ones are from pr research 4

Hey kimo, me again, here is just as a tip for what to expect from Napoli, in WoWs She is famous for being extremely tanky, fast and nimble, and a weirdly powerful secondary armament (she has secondary guns that only shoot SAP), torpedoes, and a special smoke screen that aloes her to remain undetected wile retaining full speed. Tho she has a mediocre main gun performance, she may hit hard but it has a long reload and realy bad acuracy and she has REALY bad AA.
She sounds terrible from what you have said since in AL, the backliner doesn't need to be tanky,fast,nimble,powerful secondary, torpedoes or smoke screen. And main gun is the selling point of a BB/BC so if it's mediocre, then it would be bad. I think AL will change her mechanism significantly

ye, I'm still working on pr 5 atm lmoa.... they really need to lessen the amount of prints needed to max dev them...
You can use coins to max older pr ships. If you really want to catchup, focus on getting bps for the most current pr. And for the older ones, get the ships that you actually want/need but not all of them because its unecessary. Make sure you log in everyday when the pr coins reset and utilise the discount.

@@xetearVI only up to pr 4 atm and the dr's don't have the coin catch up yet but I've already dev 5 Haku and I have enough prints to max dev 5 E girl when they release her fate sim. Pr 5 and 6 don't have the coin catch up yet which are the 2 I'm working on atm lol pr 5 for the past year and a half and plymouth is still only like dev 27ish and I haven't even started brest yet lmao I've recently unlock hindenburg and got her to fate to dev 23 and kearsarge to dev 14...lol and I've already maxed out the Dr's from previous seasons and a few of the other older sr ships too. the coin catch up is cool they still need to lessen the amount of prints and coins need to max them

nakhimov wont have double dive bombers bc she doesnt have them in wows chkalov is a special premium of her line where she trades the soviet rocket planes for an extra dive bomber plus the skip bombers (i think the ur gear is probably gonna be nakhimov's rocket planes bc we got ur guns last 2 pr series as her torpedo bombers are already in the game or it also could be a ur skip bomber) the soviet rocket planes will fire off a lot of rockets as that is their specialty in wows as well as doing a shit ton of damage
i saw the quads and got my hopes up for smolensk, but if the the guns are in equipment i still have hope.

Whats your take on Kiev? Is she a decent DD i got her and am kinda new(lvl 64) got some good urs (shinano, nj, krohn, and the newer iris libre ur's) do you have any dd recomandations or is she alright atm

(some might think it's impossible since the nakimov didn't got it, but the su-2 is used as both normal bomber as well as skip bomber in wows, so there's still hope for su-6, pure skip bomber

Soviets had Black Saea fleet too, there is no need for winter coats there. Actually, Tashkent should have worn not shuba, but rather something more light.

PR7 is cool but the exp grind is gonna be so fucking boring man. Wish they would cut that like in half, cuz even with 2x xp things it takes forever for DRs

Rocket are design for Light Armor enemy, while Shinano mainly use Torpedo bomber for Heavy armor enemy

@@ismailabdulq1492 Bruh we already have a rocket fighter for heavy armor in the game, the FW. plus historically we have rockets like the Tiny-Tims that had a huge payload and could perfectly deal with heavier targets.
Admiral Nyakhimov looks great. Use her with Sovetsky Soyuz and Volga and maybe NP will be viable.
Yeah, I was pleased to hear that The Soviet Fleet is getting another carrier. Each faction should have at least three.
I prefer Chkalov over Volga. It seems like she's better, does more massive damage. I think that Nakhimov together with Chkalov will be a much more interesting pair together with Soyuz
@@insertcoin2035 Chkalov is more offensively focused like Ark Royal while Volga is more of a defensive/support role Fleet Carrier.
Still no real way to grind PR. My gameplay at this point is just logging in every 6 hours to claim rewards then start new research then logging out again.
Run story missions, run Op Si, run events if one is going. That's how I've gotten PR1-4.

Look, it doesn't usually take that long, of course you have to be lucky in the research RNGs, but if no research comes up with the face of the desired character, just select the searches with the shortest duration (1 hour, 2 hours) and when it appears the research with the shipgirl's face, select her. And it stays in that cycle. In more or less 2 and a half months you can maximize it this way.
