THIS IS HOW .... NOTE THE EMPHASIZED WORDS - all caps. Yeshua was the FULFILLMENT of everything about the Old Covenant. Hebrews 8 says it clearly - it even repeats the text of Jeremiah 31:31. My car illustration is the best way I know how to describe it. Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat (my Hebrew ministry partner) assures me that my interpretation is exactly as it is used even in modern Hebrew to this day. Especially in this context of Yeshua's fulfillment. I hope this helps.

@@bertgoat Thank you for your kind appreciation. The bottom line. Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat, who has spoken Hebrew as his native language - all his life, and still lives in Israel - agrees that this is exactly what it means. In fact, every single Feast of the Lord in Lev. 23 is also called a "miqra" in Hebrew. A miqra means a rehearsal. Its usually called a Holly Convocation in English translation,. beside being called a Feast (moed) as well. A rehearsal is just a shadow of the real thing. Yeshua is the real thing that the miqra was for. Colossians 2 says those exact words. So - again my antique car illustration I used in the sermon is correct. And Strong's even says that is is often used that exact way.
So taking all things together regarding the Old and New covenant the use of Chadash here means exactly what I preached. Even Yeshua preached about the Old and New wineskins with old wine and fresh, robust wine. One was old, the other was new - but the new was STILL wine, but much better. At any rate.
