Great video, very easy to follow! Had a quick question, is it possible to use the Power BI Services REST API within a Power Pages web app to pull dashboard information (name, URL) that the authenticated user has access to and display it on a Power Pages web page? If so, would I need to create a PCF control for that to work?
Thanks appreciate it, I just want to make sure I understand your query. do you want to embed a power bi report or dashboard in power pages page? or you want to develop a pcf control for your power pages page? if you wish to embed a power bi dashboard it's posible it depends on the license you will be using there is a free licensing option. if you want to develop a pcf control for your power pages web page you can do so then use power pages studio to complete the embeding process.
@@Tiyani365 Hello, so what I hope to achieve is through a Power Pages web page have the ability to call the Power BI REST API to get a list of all reports/dashboards that the logged-in user has access to and display them as clickable links within the Power Pages web app and when the user clicks on a dashboard link, have it open in Power BI services. I am assuming that in order to accomplish this I would need to pass in the authenticated user's access token as part of the Power BI REST API call to return only those reports/dashboards that they have access to. Additionally, we may want to extend this capability to also call maybe a SharePoint API to return those libraries/lists that the user has access to and also display them as clickable links within the Power Pages app. So basically I want the Power Pages web app to be sort of a one-stop-shop for a user to log into to gain direct access to their items, all within a single page within Power Pages. Just trying to figure out the most efficient way to achieve this is all.
I think the tutorial would have been more effective if you had a link to content that the watcher would need to type in to duplicate what you are doing. For example, command lines, and CSS content.
Hi Loki, you can create your own css file and style it as per your requirements, in the manifest file that's where you will find or reference the css file it should look like this: you can check out the github project i uploaded for the video: github.com/TiyaniMilton/PCF_Control_Demo Let me know how it goes
@@Tiyani365 Hi I made a simple PCF using a slider that changes the colour of the value is set like whole numbers when they reach a certain threshold the value changes colour now I am planning on making a button that would create a record
really want to like this, but i found the music distracting & much too high in the mix. a little music can work in such a video, but i'm here for the power platform content and found i wasn’t really processing it due to the jingles.
@antonjw, thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it 🙂🙏. I have been working on improvements on the sound mixing and other enhancements to deliver quality and impactful content
Hello Tiyani, thank you for sharing. Is it possible to share the source code of the PCF demo?, I am trying to replicate your code but I can't see all the code from the video.
Hey Tiyani , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
