Am I the only one breaks down crying everytime I listen to his music or its cuz a awakening I finally had of wtf is truly going on in this country&how wrong they did the communities??..how deep it gets..
I'll tell you from a outsiders perspective. What goes over In those communities with low welfare and majority trying to survive of a low income, is really being touched through listening to what Polo really is saying about it. You can hear it is not something made up, for a fact, it is the complete opposite - something you genuinely feel in your soul like the words get you up to the reality. What Polo def does better than others is he has always talked about the struggles (that come in as a connection with living in the hood - like mental health issues, paranoia, drug dealing, deadly violence etc.) you can even see this in his drill songs, he still shouted out his mama etc. Most of his music has lots of emotions like what you're feeling like listening to this song! And several different times where he speaks about the government, how the projects built up lots of hatred (gangs) and areas with low economical costs together with racism etc. I think a lot of people tend to forget about that, but there's so much more to that one lyric than what people think so.
You are definitely not the only one, it's a real way of thinking, and the perspective is reality-based. So yes, it is clear & understandable to have a open mindset like that. I like your vision of thinking.
