when you get to alpine elevations you dont want a chunky tread the scrag shale gets caught in those chucks and its harder to be stable.....the chucks knock over and slide from the stiff chucky soles... no give.... people think its the opposite.....

As opposed to the 99% of hunters who are in full camo? Sure, kid.

Do not buy zamberlan boots to hunt in. I bought their most expensive boot last year. The cost was over 500 dollars at bass pro. After 3 days of my feet freezing and feeling like they had been beat with a hammer, I returned them!!! These boots are not for cold weather hunting!! Maybe constantly on the move hunting!!! However, the boots are very hard and very stiff so walking isn't a pleasant experience either. I thought they may be getting a bit wet with preparation. So I put them on boot dryers and carried them in to my hunting spot. I changed boots and socks after cooling down from my walk. The same thing!!! My feet froze and hurt until I came out of the woods!!! I used my muck boots and was fine. I am going to a pac boot for this year. But absolutely no zamberlan boots for me. That was a terrible and painful experience for myself.
