Not at all, here is the same shit. Since i started leather craft, i found leather articles which i like and buying it from european dealers. Now its no problem with getting what you need from most of Europe countries.

I would look at reducing the outer shell length compared to the inner slightly to avoid too much bulge on the back side when opening the wallet. The Cordovan is very stiff and will give a little after some use. Here is a great vid you may well have seen already ruclips.net/video/20-zUfYyqpY/видео.html and if you skip to near the end he mentions the difference in length. Now that can't just be an arbitrary measurement for all designs as each type of leather will have differing characteristics but its a good starting point. See ruclips.net/video/20-zUfYyqpY/видео.html An option is to make the inner and fold it to the closed position and then measure the folded outer surface length with a soft dress makers tape to get an idea of its total length when closed then apply that to the outer shell. You still may have to add some ease to get it right though.
I think you should get some other foreign currencies like yen or more dollars other than the 5 dollar bill you used to let the american or japanese interested in your wallet see if your products could be what they are searching for :)
