Although I was morbidly curious about his previous works, and hearing that they're more bite-sized makes me wanna play them myself!
In terms of volume, I've written enough dialogue for a Megaten game and a half. But then I always balked when it came to actually programming it. Which is just as well: my writing back then was shoddy and derivative at best.
My favorite part is the “did you really believe that?” at the end and (looks at the 4 in Intelligence stat) yes, yes she did The game was really cool! The plot twist had my head spinning
Well I certainly have to check out the sequels now. I'd heard about SJ2 but never their previous work. Thanks for the vid, hopefully this pops on more Megaten fans recommended.
lmao, i was recently debating between playing smt vx or neuroheroine but didn't know enough about the latter to make a choice. now i kind of want to give the neuroheroine games a try regardless of the level of polish or grammar, they (at least the first) seem kind of charming. i've been fascinated by the idea of smt combat in a ren'py game. i kn9w there's also the devil survivor fangame, but neuroheroine seems a bit.......easier than tactical movement via ren'py, lmao
Yeah, as I'm playing through the second one right now. These games are very charming, and still pretty fun. There's also a good bit of stuff I left out of this video. So I'd recommend giving em a try if you've got some interest.

Nice work! For the "Neutral Goddess" - it's a title you receive based on your final combination of moral, sanity and lust stats. First neuroheroine game is very rough in terms of everything, second game was my first attempt on dungeon crawling on renpy, and game isn't that plot heavy. Third game is still a sequel but can be considered as a standalone Devil Summoner title with sweet story. And of course my latest game, Strange Journey 2 is the most refined and polished fan work with actual press turn combat, demon co-op, fusion, etc. I also just released short Jack Frost Metroidvania game. ps. video title is misspelled, "Nueroheroine" instead of "Neuroheroine"
Ah. That explains how the alignment system works. And the game was a bit rough, I do hope I didn't come across as mean spirited. Still I think it's a super impressive little game and I'm pretty excited to check out those 3, wait no, 4 other games you've finished.
