I have only just discovered Jack and his awesome comparative insights into various keyboards & pianos (this morning), and it's got me digging deeper into my pockets with every video I watch. I'll definitely be heading down south to Andertons at some point in the near future (I so need a Nord Piano 5).
The main reason for commenting on this video... Have you ever heard of or considered a collaboration with Sam (look mum no computer)? I would love to see Sam create something crazy for you to play. He has plenty of buttons, switches, pots, etc to manipulate live analogue and synth sounds and runs his own museum too. I'm sure he could create your ultimate sound that you have never heard. Just a thought.
I'll get back to binge watching now.

Kontakt and Komplete is dope, top quality stuff however, Native Instruments makes some of the best sounds around but I just have way to stuff and already get option paralyses lol.
These sounds are incredibly inspiring! You could probably get lost for hours just noodling around. Great review! 🔥🤘🏽

How have they not updated resizing windows? It’s 2022….
I've had 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8. Not really seen anything that I've wanted to upgrade/buy since. Have upgraded to Kontakt5 and 6 and will think about 7 as a separate upgrade. Still not quite convinced yet about K14, not the version that I could upgrade to anyway....
You have Komplete Kontrol Keyboard but you use as a standart midi keyboard :))) ok i can understand you wanted to Show kontakt 7 but if you had used Komplete kontrol instead of Kontakt7 you could use Knobs 😀
The updates to Kontakt barely sounds like it warranted a whole new version.

I so wish native instruments would program the ribbon controller to do interesting things for each sound. I have an old 90’s Yamaha synth and the ribbon controller does something cool for every sound!
Jack, you should try using knobs and buttons on the keyboard to browse or tweak the sound library. 😂. great video as always.
I may just be an imbecile, but I really think the general market (not only NI) is going a wrong way. They are removing usefull stuff to add these packets with big Ambient sounds, drones that granted is very impressive sounding, but really .. how many end users really uses this stuff ? It seems like the market is exploding with big fancy emotionel sound pallettes that is geared towards a very tiny market of Film and experimental music productions. Yes there is already a quite big pallette of "normal" sounds and some of the existing instrument packs is being updated, maybe not everyone of them in every new version, but still. Imo the Komplete package, especially the big versions is becomming less worth it as a "general sound package" for the avg musician with each new iteration. Why not let these big experimental sound packets be an addon and concentrate more on the general usefull sounds. Producers that make their living on Film, Gaming and the like productions is likely having more funds to buy these packs as an addon if they find them interesting, than the rest of us, that is maybe just looking for a new different or better package of bread and butter sounds than what you find in hardware synths/workstations.
Every sound I have heard here could be used in Hiphop, Drum and Bass, Lo Fi, RnB, Sole, Ambient how is that not the average user?
I’m not talking about the 20 sounds +\- you hear here, but the avg value of the package and what you get from updating to the newest version. Still think the Ultimate package is the most Bang for the buck, but dependent on music style you do you will always pay for a lot of junk you’ll never use especially if your a session and live musician that don’t do edm, I really think that even there is many gems in Ultimate, over half the package will be of no use. I’m just more the old school keyboard player. I have absolutely no use of loops. But the session stuff, drums, pianos, guitar and bass stuff is excellent. The synth stuff, is for my taste better done in other popular packages, with a few exceptions
Add to that the many 3’rd part sound packages to Kontakt still makes this title hard to live without whatever deal seems best to the individual
@@mrdali67 - Meh. You don’t like synth libraries for a software synth package…But you want acoustic drums, bass, guitar, etc. EZdrummer, EZBass, etc. will probably be more suitable for you.
@@savoirfaire8979 Ezdrummer is awsome. But I don’t see Komplete as a synth pack only. It is much more like its name implide, trying to be “complete” And I Gotta admit I’m hugely in love with NI’ session guitar packs + the stuff from Orange County

Too few changes, too little improvement, still no hi-dpi for most apps, still no Apple Sillicon support, crappy also-run new fx and rompler sound banks, same update price... thanks, no...
Apple silicon for Komplete Kontrol and Maschine is out later this year. Right now only Kontakt 6 and Guitar Rig 6 are compatible. I still use all of this on Logic in native mode and for the most part it works fine. But it has been a long wait
