Left to right Wendy 💙 Feb 21 94 Main Vocal Seulgi 💛 Feb 10 94 Main Dancer Lead Vocal Irene 🩷 Mar 29 91 Main Rapper Lead Dancer Leader Yeri 💜 Mar 5 99 Rapper Vocal Maknae Joy 💚 Sep 3 96 Lead Rapper Vocal They debuted Aug 1st, 2014, with Happiness Yeri joined in March 2015 on the ep Ice Cream Cake Their first ep was ICC in March 2015, and their first full album was September 2015
The energy and enthusiasm when they sing at performances like this or at encore stages are on another level is because of their confidence in singing. They have nothing to hide but their pure talents. 🤗
So it goes WENDY SEULGI IRENE YERI JOY 🫶❤ Yeri was unfortunately kind of sick this day which could be why she didn't go full out on her parts This has both b-sides and title tracks in them! Red velvets b-sides are absolutely KILLER, they truly never disappoint
There are producers and song writers that say they want to work with Red Velvet the most cause they can throw whatever they want at them and know they can deliver especially Wendy with the adlibs whi is 1 of my 2 ult biases
Wendy was a DJ on Youngstreet radio and had Jihyo with Sana as guest. Sana put on a Master Class of Flirting. Jihyo said Twice get to pick which programs they go to and her and Sana yelled out Wendy’s Youngstreet.
Great reaction! Red velvet (especialy wendy ofcourse) doing ton of adlibs, harmonization and layers for a song. So it's almost impossible to perform without backing track to bring a same quality as a cd. Try to look a video behind the recording of feel my rythm, and you'll know what i'm talking about 😅
I would like to share with you Red Velvet timeline songs: 1. Happiness 2014 (debut) 2. Be natural (2014) 3. Ice cream cake (2015) 4. Automatic (2015) 5. Dumb dumb (2015) 6. **Big comment because I'm a yapper and I'm typing as I hear your questions and comments :)** ~10:00 -when you were questioning the name of the songs vs albums the first few released went: Happiness (1st single) Be Natural (2nd single) Ice Cream Cake (1st mini album- title track ice cream cake) (also when Yeri (2nd from the right) joined the group) The Red (1st full album- title track Dumb Dumb) and all the songs they performed weren't all their title tracks but just a majority of them alongside some of their more popular b-sides they even had to edit out some songs they performed because the video was too long :( but that gave this video the illusion of them going and singing non-stop with little water breaks in total (including Japanese releases) they have: 4 full albums 2 repackaged albums 14 mini albums 4 non-album singles and then Wendy, seulgi, and joy have their own mini albums out (wendy is set to release a 2nd by the end of 2024) irene has 2 solo songs out (her & a DJ, and her ost), yeri has 2 solo songs out (including her ost) and then they all have group and solo songs within SM projects and groups and other collaborations with various artists ~16:45 "I want a Twice Festival" had me cracking up!! it wasn't an actual festival as much as we wish it was. Reveluvs wanted to get out of the reve festival so bad. it was a never-ending saga of album titles that even when we got the reve finale and we thought it was finally over in 2019 -we still got two more reve festival 2022's (in total there's albums "day 1" "day 2" "finale" "finale 2022- feel my rythmn" and "finale 2022- birthday") ~38:33 - yes they have the weird spoken lines in the beginning of some of their songs, it wasn't just for the killing voice ~8:00 -what you said about the backing tracks in the beginning i also had that issue with this video and I've been a reveluv since 2015. I was so excited for a fully live performance with their amazing vocals but then i heard the extra layering be pushed more in some songs and was a little disappointed. BUT what I will say to that is that they are still 100% live here no doubt but some songs i think they just couldn't get away with just music only as their vocal layers are built into the song. You can see throughout the video even in group harmonies all the girls will be signing along but then one or two will drop out on some lines. They even do that in other live performances if you would ever watch concert clips, so I think it is how they planned the songs all along. If you also ever watch the recordings of their songs in the studio you can see the amount of layering they all put into their lines so its rarely "just one voice" singing. Even if its just one of the girls they may have three layers of harmony with themself for that one line
There's no cut in this video, they did it in one take and they had water breaks in between when they're not singing, you could see Irene and Yeri crouching at some point to sip on the water and the camera would change angle...they did initially prepared a 40 minutes medley with their own A&R team but because killing voice has given them time limit they had to cut it and came to dingo with the final version like what we've seen
Thanks for all the info, I kinda figured they required a backing track for some parts of songs that had overlapping vocals or ad libs + layering/harmonizing. They’re pretty amazing!
Something that I love about RV that every members make theirs vocal layouts and adlibs for theirself, if you can react their behind records, you can watch their hard work they do for every song. I love that you choose one of my favorites songs from them, You better Know (b-side) and One of those nights (title track). They have one of the best discography in the whole music industry for sure.
Oh it's very possible I was simply mistaken then, I skim through my feed quite a bit but I don't watch all the stuff that pops up of course lol. I'm sure I was noticing someone else.
Since you said you like layers and harmonies, I came here to ask for 2 special killing voices 🤗🎼🫶🔝🙏💯✨that will touch your soul and your heart: MAMAMOO and BIGMAMA. bring us this reaction 🙏😉🤞
Loved your reaction to this! One of these nights is one of my favourite songs by red velvet too, there's also an MV for one of these nights if you'd like to check that out too :) and with killing voice it seems like it's just little parts of their songs and then maybe one full song? i've only seen this killing voice and G-IDLE's killing voice so i think that's how they usually are 😊
Red Velvet is an absolute powerhouse of a group. Red Velvet has 80+ show win’s with their fan base mostly is Asia. Everyone places them third in popularity from the 3rd Generation GG’s but most put them first in vocals and discography. Black Pink is a monster and I don’t think I need to tell you anything about Twice while Mamamoo (RV’s close friends) are vocal queens that don’t give a F about anyone but Moomoo’s.
This is the Killing Voice concept in a nutshell, a highlight reel of title tracks sprinkled with a few b-sides that might have stood out in an artist's career. If you like the concept may I suggest checking out (G)I-dle's Killing Voice. As of now they are the only 4th gen group that has been invited on this prestigious show
If your wondering how good Wendy is checkout Lee Mujin Service EP.88 Red Velvet Wendy |Chill Kill, Illusion, I Have Nothing, On a Night Like Tonight. I would recommend a vocal coach reaction like "KATRINKA " RUclips channel.
I apologize for the delay in response on this, I do have that reaction on my Patreon :) for some reason anytime I upload a Lee Mujin video on RUclips, it gets blocked. I’ve tried multiple times. But it’s there if you’d like to see it!
@21:00 If it's a JYP group who are going to do live adlibs, then you want NMIXX. They did live adlibs in their concert. And this is from a Jeongyeon and Jihyo vocal bias line for Twice.
Twice is my ult, itzy 2nd and redvelvet 3rd. But the separation betwern 2 and 3 is slim. Love my ot5 vocal Queens. There's only 2 groups that might have become my ult had i discovered them before twice...exid and redvelvet. Lots of similarities and vocal powerhouses. Btw, mmm killing voice is the best imo but apink...if you love vocals then you need to ck it out.
This is the only KV they've. Dingo never repeat any KV with the same artist. So I'm not really sure what u really think about with that. It's prob the fanmade one?
The undisputed best vocal girl group in kpop is Mamamoo, who debuted 6 weeks before Red Velvet and they are friends. Mamamoo were the first to be invited to perform on Killing Voice, after Solar (Mamamoo's leader) asked to be on Killing Verse which is for rappers. Dingo Music created Killing Voice for Mamamoo and other vocal groups. Red Velvet's Killing Voice is probably 50% live and 50% using backing tracks, filtered microphones with auto tune and live pitch correction software, and finally post production audio processing and mastering of the raw audio. This 'live' performance was also not done in one take.

Twice is my favorite group too, but I can’t deny that Red Velvet has best vocals to me. I like their r&b-style songs.
Same here! Plus, Red Velvet’s discography can’t be denied! Every song is a banger and there’s so much variety🔥

Twice is not at the same level as Red velvet. The harmony, high notes, ad libs, live vocals, R&B songs. They are the best.
The girl with pigtails is named JOY she is an amazing vocalist too
Yup, Joy did "the What a Chill Kill i know you will" continued by seulgis, "Bring me Lightning like a Winner" adlibs
In the next video, I want to see Red Velvet's music video reaction, I enjoyed it!

~10:00 -when you were questioning the name of the songs vs albums the first few released went:
Happiness (1st single)
Be Natural (2nd single)
Ice Cream Cake (1st mini album- title track ice cream cake) (also when Yeri (2nd from the right) joined the group)
The Red (1st full album- title track Dumb Dumb)
and all the songs they performed weren't all their title tracks but just a majority of them alongside some of their more popular b-sides
they even had to edit out some songs they performed because the video was too long :( but that gave this video the illusion of them going and singing non-stop with little water breaks
in total (including Japanese releases) they have:
4 full albums
2 repackaged albums
14 mini albums
4 non-album singles
and then Wendy, seulgi, and joy have their own mini albums out (wendy is set to release a 2nd by the end of 2024)
irene has 2 solo songs out (her & a DJ, and her ost), yeri has 2 solo songs out (including her ost)

Justin. I don't care if your videos 2 hours long. I still watch it

To hear RV’s memorable title tracks and b-sides, you would need Killing Voice 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7………

Wendy, Taeyeon and Winter happened but the song was obviously produced to death.
A JYP collab gotta be WeNMIXX before any Twice action.

wendy is in different class . jihyo is mid.
Tbh this killing voice didn't do justice to Irenes, Yeris, Joys, and Seulgis vocals AT ALL

You obviously don’t know red velvet.
No, Red Velvet five vocal Queens live performance, beautiful voice, perfect harmony, especial R&B,soul, jazz gg
There's always a salty Mamamoo fan...
Look at the production credits at the end of this video.
There was ONE audio engineer for this recording.
One.
Mamamoo voice too much husky.
