It's awesome to see Larry still at it. My late father, who was a commodity futures trader back then as well and wrote a series of Almanacs twice a year, used to talk about Larry and a few others with great regard. He's a true legend.
@@blazetrader I created a playlist of your videos that I listen to. It is a wealth of information with a very holistic approach. I lost many years not having a good mentor. I wish I had known you earlier
Yeah he was one of the 1st trading experts that I ran into and started learning from back in the 90's as well. I gotta say I don't always agree with him but i still respect his opinion
I have such respect for Larry that it's hard to put into words. I met him at a seminar sponsored by Tradestation a long time ago. During a break I remained attentive, and happened to hear him step to the side to call his broker to buy a large batch of S&P contracts. Later in the day he sold them and made what I considered to be an absolute fortune that day, and yet he made no announcements about taking that trade and it was not part of the class. This is just what he does: a superb job of quietly plying the edge he has over markets as a result of his own original brilliant analysis. Soft-spoken and modest, to me Larry is the most brilliant trader I have ever encountered, and I have met quite a few rather famous traders and authors in my day. Anyone who has had the opportunity to learn from Larry Williams or to meet him personally is very lucky, indeed.

Larry Williams is such a fantastic guy! I went to one of his seminars outside of Chicago 20 years ago. He has the same enthusiasm for the markets now that he did then.
Can you imagine how cool it would be to have him as your grandpa? I'd visit every day to learn about the markets while drinking tea lol! Thanks for the great video.
Thank-you Larry for verbal gold . Richard you are the best.I said it when you started your youtube channel and ill repeat it now again . Nobody can do what you do , allowing the guest to run the show under your stealth guidance . Brilliant interview.
I never get tired of listening and learning from Larry. Such a fantastic guy! It's a pitty I never had a chance to be his student and now he's retired! Amazing interview!
He actually would risk that much in the past if you read between the lines. That’s how he got into drawdowns. You can’t turn $1000 into 2 million in one year risking 1-2% of your account. Every exceptional trader I studied had one thing in common. They don’t follow the 1% risk per trade idea
Shahid, it's lovely hearing about your encounter with Larry! He truly is an amazing mentor. Thank you for your support, and here's to more learning from legends like him! 😊📖
Another great interview. Larry is an incredible person and his life is even more interesting than his trading career. I used to like running into him at the local bagel shop 30 years ago.
I have to admit I haven’t seen your other videos but Larry Williams is arguably one of the best traders of all time. Congrats getting him on your show. Definitely subscribed now.
Are you aware that the 1987 11,000% win was a fraud? If you were not aware you can watch the video details on it and there's an entire book written about it
Great Video Richard. Timeless insights and advice from Larry. I wanted to request if you can do an interview with Larry on COT data to get little bit more insights with respect to commodities and equities
Glad I found your channel. Easy to watch and the conversation flow and information was perfect. I was fortunate enough to meet Larry and attend his boot camp in Ft Worth about 20 years ago. Was at a hotel for 3 days learning from the best trader in the business. Larry's a great, down to earth guy that is very humble and easy to talk to. I learned a tremendous amount in those 3 days and would do it again if Larry still held those classes. The man really is a class act.
I started as mechanical and is the first time I hear that discretionary makes more money and it does make a lot of sense. Best tf systems i was able to backtest were making 20% a year. Volume analysis along with patterns are hard to tell in an automated way.
Thanks Richard and to Larry for making this video for us, many wise words in this podcast for us , keep up the great work you are doing to help traders become successful.
