I have a '67 Bandmaster. Thing is just fine! I took it completely apart. Sent the innards out to a tech. Scrubbed the dickens out of the cabinet and made it shine. Put some Tung-Sol 58851's in it. Thing just sings. And shines! Got it setting on a MESA 1X12 cab with a 4 ohm Weber Alnico with a hemp cone (65 watts). Boy. It sounds good. Mine is a blackface, not drip edge.

That sounds like a killer combo! Would love to try some 5881s in one of these!

You need to up the value on one of the 3 disc caps on the tremolo because it is currently too fast at its slowest speed. Usually, there are two .1uf disc caps and a .2uf together in the tremolo circuit near the roach. Changing one of the .1uf caps to .2uf will fix that common issue.

Yes , it’s part of the plan! Just focused on restoring it to playing condition first, and then seeing what’s necessary to change.

Amp sounds really good. So do you add all your time in to the cost when you re-sell it? Are you going to re-sell it?

Hey Mike! Yes I.am going to resell it! And I will add the costs, but it depends. I feel like it wasn’t worth market value while it was non-functioning, but now it is!
