@@felixjeremy I don't agree with you bro. My best man is running one of biggest festivals in Europe, Exit festival, you can check it online. I have sent hom some links and he is suprised, but only with Kenyan urban sceene. I sent hom links also with that bongo flava as well, he said this music can be played in primitive village parties in the middle of nowhere. He said bongo flava is complete pulp.
But MDQ, Mayonde, Phy, Sage, Prisca Ojwang, Sara Mitaru, Suzziah, all these ladies took his atention seriously. After all, MDQ is more well known in Europe than here for example.
Let me know some Tanzanian urban music artists, we are not interested in bongo flava, in our part of the world we call that kind of music Turbo folk. Pulp with no artistic value, music for shamba people no matter production.
