Great outcome and you got lucky someone let you use THEIR phone. RANT AHEAD! If your your recording equipment (phone) is that important why wouldn't you at least carry a charging cable? Most slot machine have a charging port (usually close to the players card slot), some even have wireless charging (drink coaster looking thing on the left side of bet panel). Battery banks are smaller than a deck of cards (some even lipstick sized). I carry a small battery and 3 cable in a small pouch. Cables are a type C to C (charges phone faster), type C to A (Loan out and use at machine), and a micro usb (for insulin pump). I could fit everything in my pants pocket without the pouch, but it is more comfortable with the pouch on my belt (not to mention it lets me carry more cash).
