First time listening to Dreamcatcher. Wow they have beautiful vocals. Intro Together and Always I really liked. The others were not really my vibe but it wasn’t bad.
locked inside a door is top 5 dreamcatcher songs for me, funk rock fusion is practically unheard of particularly in kpop and DC delivered and it somehow fits them perfectly, same with black or white
omg you're so right, I like ballads and I'm more picky when it comes to ballad songs than any other genre, but somehow DC ballad songs are 'always' on top, from Emotion to Always 💕💕

The lyrics are a plus if you understand what they're saying, but even if you don't understand the lyrics, the melodies are pleasing enough that they make the songs enjoyable, and still feel emotional.

Locked Inside a Door honestly has potential to be my favorite song they’ve ever done. It’s such a bop, the line distribution is so even, and the harmonies/unisons are INSANE. Lol Dami’s lines are right on Starlight! It’s surprising to all newer Insomnia, but Dami really has a very soft and cute voice when she’s not purposefully using her deep rap tone. She’s become a lot more comfortable singing in the past year and it’s SO amazing to hear how many lines she’s got on this album, in addition to using more of a speaking tone for some of her raps, so that’s why she sounds different! It’s the GROWTH! 😍 You’ll still hear her singing a little on the b sides of other albums though. Jazz Bar is the most popular one! I’d definitely recommend checking out that and her and Yoohyeon’s duet of Palette if you really want to get familiar with her voice! She has one of the highest ranges in the group. I still have NO idea what the skit is supposed to be tbh 😂 but the soundtrack is very calming. I really think Handong and Dami won this era. The difference in both their confidence levels compared to past albums is amazing. Handong especially just the way she’s *continuously* become more powerful and charismatic on stage since coming back from hiatus is just incredible! And Dami has worked so hard to improve her singing and seems SO much more relaxed with it nowadays. It’s wonderful to see both of them getting more of a spotlight on this album. You’re going to *love* Handong’s solo, because it’s an R&B track and just like you said, she’s got the perfect voice for it. Her tone is so soothing, and one of the reasons I really want her added to the rap line is because it falls so perfectly between Dami’s and Gahyeon’s. Her tone is very similar to Dami’s but with a lighter, more delicate approach, and more mature than Gahyeon’s. They all have such distinct personas and I just think that with Dami being so edgy and powerful and Gahyeon being so playful and fiery, Handong’s calm, confident elegance would make the perfect trifecta.
I’ve listened to the album on repeat for the last week and I love it. I especially love sua and Dami’s solos the most but everyone’s solo’s are amazing. The main album is just chefs kiss!
We have something in common now. Starlight is also my favorite group song of the album (not counting the solos). My least favorite gotta be Always. There's no reason for it but I don't feel so attracted to it as I do to the others. Btw I love your reactions!
You actually noticed Gahyeon and Handong's improvement. first time i listened to them, they are the ones standing out so much. and you will like their solos. as for Siyeon's vocal, yeah she's special. but i am also a Moomoo. You should try Mamamoo if you love eargasm, they eat vocals for breakfast, hi notes for meals. my personal opinion, Mamamoo is up there vocal wise. as always, keep up the good work.

Pokemon - Naruto - MegaMan.(?) I'm agreed 🤣🤣🤣🤣 . I think why their song is no misses in this album cause they made the song with playing the melody up and down. So we can feel the color of the song. 😍

I don't know why they don't "use" more their voices together (I don't know the technical words). They generally sing only one after another, but when they combine their voices, thats amazing. they have amazing vocals.
For me the best song on this album is "Always". It's great and we have the chance to listen to each members vocals. For the solos I would say it is Dami's "Beauty Full". I like the style and her live performance was great too. The other solos were also great. I think each one fit's perfectly. Well It think we did know she sounds great because of the cover songs (e.g. "Ping Pong" with Siyeon) and for example "Shadow" (normal and especially the "slow" version) but this album proves it once again. 👍 Handong is also great. Since she is back from China she' killing it. I have to rewatch her solo cover of Chung Ha's "Snapping" from the Halloween Concert (October 2021) now. 😄

I can't really translate what Sua said in "Locked inside a door" but it wasn't actually a swear word. They just beeped it to make it sound like that. She just said a common phrase that I think translates to something like 'how annoying'. So the sentence goes on as it should but they put a beep over it. She said it in a vlive, the translation and parts of it are on insomnicsy's channel😊I can link it but idk if you're fine with that
