How do you dispose these noise- the false positives? Do you go through them one after the other? How do you know they are false positives?

Hi and thanks for commenting on this video. In the context of financial crime prevention, handling false positives usually involves a few key steps:
      > Individual Review: Each potential false positive is assessed to confirm whether it's indeed a misclassification.
      > Algorithm Tuning: We continually adjust the detection algorithms based on these reviews to improve accuracy.
      > Use of Additional Data: Cross-referencing with additional data sources can help verify the findings.
Beside any post processing improvements for false positive reduction (applied using various type of technologies), alerts presented by the system are initially reviewed one by one to understand if the hit is a false positive. Please let me know if you need any more info on this topic. Thanks for watching my videos! Marco

Hey, In consequences slide, it should be False negative, not False Positive. As there is no negative impact of False Positives apart from draining resources. Thanks

Hi and thanks for commenting here! I was trying to highlight in that part of the video some possible consequences linked to a great volume of false positive leading to missing out on actual risks and true positives. Although I agree with you that false negatives would have the same consequences. I should have better titled that slide. Thank again for watching and for sharing your feedback 👍🏻
