"for those watching on black & white receivers there is a similarity... Crystal Palace are wearing the shirts with a black ring around the neck and arms and the top of the stockings".. Cheers for that Brian...😄

Yeah, with ghosting, snowing & many TV's still on 400+ lines & 620ish lines giving better definition & colour TVs costing a fortune, most people as I did rented TVs as it had all these valve things that blew up. TV sets was a living thing, part of the family to me & you'd put on top of it family photographs or a special ornament (what did you put on top of your TV?) & like Radio Luxembourg reception, it had a personality that I miss now.

Oh, the start of this lets some light in on magic. They're using the LWT on screen clock in lieu of the usual countdown clock showing this was recorded in the morning rather than going out live.

@ 37-20...that's a great shot of Stan Horne at No. 4 for Fulham, he was their first black/mixed race
player (first also for Man City, played well) and the second for Aston Villa. Best shot i've seen of him.
But he made no impact in this game, I wonder if he struggles for fitness, maybe injury prone.
What did Fulham fans think of him?

"Eh mind o Gillie" ( I remember Gillie ) was something older fans of Dundee FC would say . Alan Gilzean grew up in a town just 4 miles from where I grew up in Perthshire, he was a real local hero in this neck of the woods when I was a kid .
