Just watched this on my phone in the laundromat parking lot. Can't wait to get home and hear it with my headphones! EDIT: Did not disappoint hearing it on my headphones!
Been waiting all month for this one to rise to the top of your requests! Along with "Do You Hear...", this arrangement by 'the other Rupp' has long been at the top of my Christmas playlist. No one can beat a Rupp arrangement, so full of dissonances, syncopation, vocal harmony and balance! I hope your Christmas has been joyful and full of cheer! Always loving your reactions...
A very good choice for Christmas Day! I just left leaving a comment on Chris’ channel on his reaction to their older video with Kenny Rogers and Home Free. I absolutely love Chris’ arrangement of this! He and the guys sounded amazing together!
You should check out their What Child is This Behind The Scenes video, it shows some behind-the-scenes goofiness and how these guys really are when making a video. 😂
I’ve never heard this song sung so slowly. It reminds me of the church organist when I was growing up who turned “I’ve got that joy, joy, joy, joy deep in my heart” into a funeral dirge.
This has become one of my favorites with all six of our guys and Chris' incredible arrangement, his wonderful voice, Tim, Austin, oh my, oh my! I have asked many reactors to watch this one, but not many do. Glad someone else got you to watch. Knew you'd love it. The timing for this was super important to me. I just had a call my sister was taken to the hospital an hour ago and was feeling so stressed and down, waiting for my kids and grand kids to get here shortly for our Christmas evening. Just so many emotions. I decided to look for something from Home Free as it always soothes me. Here you were, first thing I saw and I cannot tell you how much you made me feel better. Your enthusiasm and excitement, the fans, the hat, everything just made me feel better. Thank you for all you do for all of us! Take care and we can all pray for a better New Year!
@@leslieholland7843 Leslie, thank you so much. That means a lot. She is home now but concerns for the future. She's had 3 total hips and repairs on the one hip. It's dislocated about 5 times in the past year or two. They did another major surgery on it in Sept. And now it dislocated again today, just reaching for a piece of paper on the floor while sitting on the couch. They give her something in ER and literally have to get on top of her to push it back into the socket! Ugh. She walk out of the hospital, but it's just unstable for sure. The future is unknown as the doc didn't know what else they could do last time. So prayers are appreciated very much! God knows. Take care.
No, Chance was not in Movin' On. Those 6 voices in unison and then Tim's drop - how gorgeous! Chris's arrangements are wonderful, this is no exception. Bells, dissonance, bass drops, Austin's flying - all of it.
This is one of the very few videos in which Chris & Chance both appear (the others are "House Party" and "White Christmas" - I don't think there are any others). The singing, harmonies, arrangement & settings are all just perfect. BTW, I don't know if you realized that this hymn is sung to the same tune as "Green Sleeves" (Tim & Chris have a duet of the latter on Chris's channel). Thanks for playing this & your comments. Best wishes to you & yours for a happy, healthy New Year!
Most definitely you need to react to Auld Lang Syne!! The definitive New Year's Eve song in the most incredible arrangement and exquisite harmonies you will ever hear!! Please, please, PLEASE react to this on December 31!! 💖🥳
First , Merry Christmas 🎄. Now , this is my first time in seeing a jester’s Santa 🧑🎄 outfit. So darn cute. And I loved your reaction. # HOMEFREE. Peace and blessings to all.
Such a GLORIOUS, epic rendition of this song. One of my favorite Home Free songs for sure. The only one I know of with all six of them together. If I'm mistaken please let me know.
LOVE this arrangement--especially the bell tones and Chris' and Chance's duet. The clarity of every voice is just magnificent❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #HomeFreeDoesChristmasBest #AdamRuppSinging
This is so amazing. The voices that come together here is so beautiful!! So I really enjoy this! How great it is that there are six of them here. Wonderful!
I played this song on repeat for two days so I was totally prepared for their massive talent. Your reaction made me almost fall out of my chair from laughing primarily because my initial reaction was akin to yours. Loved this reaction!
1) First thing, Adam Chance and Jenika Marion have been friends for many years, way before Tim Foust came into either of their lives. Which may or may not have anything to do with Chance and his previous group (at least I think they're there) being part of the party-goers invading Austin and Olena's apartment in Home Free's 2015 video Sam Hunt - House Party. 2) In their 2018 video It Looks Good the boys are a bar, some of them dancing with their ladies Kelsey, Jenika, and Olena. When they're at the pool table Chris can be seen, wearing a cowboy hat, dancing and talking in the background. 3) In 2016's White Christmas friends and family with their kids are gathering for a holiday feast at someone's home. We see Beugs, Olena, Jenika, Kelsey, Ericha, and I don't know her name but Chance's then girlfriend who I think is absolutely gorgeous. (But she ain't Sami. Let's be clear on that.) Chris gifts Chance with his pitch pipe and Adam gives Tim a Home Free t-shirt for Christmas. So What Child is This, as far as I know is the only one where all six guys are performing together but not the only video were we see all six of them. And I'm going to finish with a so far ignored plea for somebody to finally react to Chris and Tristin's group 7th Ave's mashup I Kissed a Girl in the House of the Ring Sun. (Their Uptown Funk is a lot of fun too.)
Chris did an amazing job on this arrangement. And hearing all 6 of them singing together is fabulous. There is a behind the scenes on Chris' channel, as well, that shows some of the nuttiness that ensued during the filming.
This was really really pretty...Home Free did a master class with this! Wow... Merry Christmas DJ, so glad you have been able to do so much Christmas stuff...can't wait to see what else is coming in the year ahead 💗💗
Wasn’t that beautiful?! Such beautiful harmonies by the boys. Yes, loving Tim’s low notes and contrasting with Austin’s highs. Gorgeous! Good one DJ!!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! 🥰😍
At this rate, you ought to be martial arts qualified with those fans very soon. Bass fan in one hand and tenor fan in the other. Somebody is going to get smacked one way or the other.
Did you get engaged/married over Christmas? I noticed a new ring on your finger. If so, Congratulations! How exciting for you! Thanks for the reaction to this song. HF did a wonderful job with Chris Rupp - as if they'd do anything else. I'm so glad they did this. I bet if felt great for all of them.
This is so very beautiful! Every time I hear this, I get goosebumps. Chris has an arrangement of Amazing Grace that will blow your mind. Love your reaction! Merry Christmas!
This is a very old tune, but they brought a new beauty to it that made it fresh and lovely and modern. Your reactions always promise to be appealing and lively--sensitive, too.❤❤
Great reaction to this stunning arrangement of What Child Is This, one of my very favorite Christmas songs! The melody is an old English folk song titled Greensleeves. You did it justice with your enthusiastic reaction! Blessings upon you in 2024, DJ - please keep bringing these great reactions! 💕🥳 S
Love this great compilation of all 6 of our #HomeFree guys! What a wonderful arrangement by Chris, and love that he's got the lead - although he's so gracious he shares it beautifully with the others. Happy New Year!
Thank you DJ for your wonderful reaction! This is a favorite video. Chris and Adam are favorite tenors. Chris has the sweetest voice. The Beltones, highs, and lows, Adam singing tenor and beatboxing, I love it. To hear Chris full range check his amazing grace cover! Cypress Fyres new album is coming soon, with songs cowritten by Chris, fabulous!
Chris' solo work is some of my favorite stuff. I really hope he still continues solo stuff. Oh come all ye faithful that he teases at the end is another great one. I hope you are able to react to it sometime. He has so much amazing solo stuff. Another great, fun, Chris Rupp song is Drinking with you. I would love to see more current solo stuff from him.
Love your reaction! This is such a good song. Also, what headset do you use? 'Cause I got to get me one. Mine supposedly is good, but I definitely don't get the nuances of songs like you do. Not sure if that's because of my hearing being bad or not, either.
For more Chris check out his first post-Home Free group, 7th Ave, doing their Maroon 5 Medley. It features former Home Free bass Elliot Robinson, as well as Heatbox as the beatboxer. Heatbox filled in for Adam for a bit when he was out for the birth of his daughter. I saw Heatbox open for Boyz II Men and he was great. If you look closely you can see footage of Rob showing Heatbox some of the dance moves in the background of one of the shots in Story of My Life.
Awww no holy night? I think this one was my favorite home free reaction. Especially on Austin, and i lol'ed when you mentioned him and flirting at the camera, I said that too don't look at me like that lol
Don’t know if you have already reacted to HOME FREE’s version of “AULD LANG SYNE” or not but since it’s so close to New Years 🎉 it might be worth checking out and reacting to it.
Please check out (even if you don't react, because I think you will love it) Chris Rupp and 7thAve's cover of Mary Did You Know, Chris sounds absolutely fabulous.
This is not reminiscent of Greensleeves. This is Greensleeves. If you play it on the piano, it is obvious. So many of the great carols were tavern songs first. The song writers of the day would take the most popular songs and create the seasonal lyrics. The result was a group of unforgettable carols that have persisted, in some cases for hundreds of years. I would love to hear Tim sing O Come, O Come Emanuel. Beautiful song and the minor key along with its bass register makes it haunting.
Hey, he didn't forget! It's available to Channel members and Patreon members now! Sadly there are only 25 days to react to Christmas songs and so they can't all be posted publicly...it's insane how many he has still managed to add as an indulgent perk for us...
DJ didnt forget. He didn't have room on his RUclips schedule to put it out. He did it for his patreon and hopefully at some point might get it out on RUclips
You are the only reactor who commented on that amazing transition from Tim's deep note to Austin's High note on the word raise. It gave me goosebumps.
Love this rendition!! Those Rupp brothers are musical geniuses! Merry Christmas DJ!!
Just watched this on my phone in the laundromat parking lot. Can't wait to get home and hear it with my headphones! EDIT: Did not disappoint hearing it on my headphones!
I'm sorry I missed the premiere on this but I'm so glad you got to watch it. It's such a wonderful arrangement - Home Free as church organ.

You described it very well, and Home Free IS a force of nature. I really do love your Home Free arm flaps!!!!

I loved watching your reaction to this hauntingly beautiful rendition of this song.
Normal is fine, until December 31, at which time you should react to Home Free's classic and perfect "Auld Lang Syne" !
Yes please react to this for New Year’s Eve. They sing it so beautifully and they all look really nice as well.
Most definitely you need to react to Auld Lang Syne!! The definitive New Year's Eve song in the most incredible arrangement and exquisite harmonies you will ever hear!! Please, please, PLEASE react to this on December 31!! 💖🥳

I love seeing and hearing all 6 together 😍😍😍😍😍😍

I have GOOD headphones now (Xmas present!), and I"m actually hearing the things you're hearing. :)

Homefree would not exist without Chris Rupp. His talent was able to make the band strong enough for them to continue when he leave.
He definitely has an AMAZING voice ❤
Merry Christmas 🎅

You mentioned the wave feeling, or, perhaps a child being rocked in a cradle?
Merry Christmas to one of my favorite reactors!!
Love this great compilation of all 6 of our #HomeFree guys! What a wonderful arrangement by Chris, and love that he's got the lead - although he's so gracious he shares it beautifully with the others. Happy New Year!
Epically outstanding! I would not have heard this had you not covered this! Great reaction.
I loved the shadows at the end - it became absolutely biblical. It felt like the Dead Sea caves.
your reactions always make me so happy!!!!
You need to see the behind the scenes for this. Quite the giggle.
Thanks 😊

I hope you checked out the behind the scenes to this. It's great fun and has a fantastic example of natural harmonizers just riffing together.

Chris did a series called "the history of Home Free". I'm quite certain you'd love it. I do know that us fries would love to see you watch those. ❤❤
Merry Christmas!
Awww no holy night? I think this one was my favorite home free reaction. Especially on Austin, and i lol'ed when you mentioned him and flirting at the camera, I said that too don't look at me like that lol
I laughed when you had to stop at the beginning to rewind. You do it often, put a note on your keyboard..."when paused rewind"
Don’t know if you have already reacted to HOME FREE’s version of “AULD LANG SYNE” or not but since it’s so close to New Years 🎉 it might be worth checking out and reacting to it.
You should watch Chris and Tim singing Long Dark Train. I think you will popping your fan. 😊
Please check out (even if you don't react, because I think you will love it) Chris Rupp and 7thAve's cover of Mary Did You Know, Chris sounds absolutely fabulous.
